“We stopped here for some quick sushi due to its proximity to the Truck Bar. It was a good find! A little hole in the wall place in a large plaza. The service was excellent, very attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was a little underwhelming, as it seemed to keep busy with mostly takeout orders as opposed to dine in. The food itself was good, not the greatest sushi ever, but it hit the spot for a sushi craving!“

“Yes, it's in a somewhat interesting location in a strip mall off the main road. I've been trying to find a place like this for quite some time. I've only gotten takeout so that's what my review is focusing on. It's difficult finding quality sushi at reasonable prices, and Tanpopo really delivers where it matters. The fish is fresh and has excellent texture. I ordered several massive platters of nigiri sushi of all kinds, and my family was really delighted with the taste. If I have any criticism, it is that their cut rolls are somewhat-poorly assembled, and tend to fall apart after a few seconds of being held with chopsticks. Their lunch and dinner specials are very reasonably priced, as are their "party platters" of nigiri sushi. The sashimi is of equivalent quality, although I do prefer to cook my own rice at home to eat with it (we recommend Tamaki Gold). Placing an order on the phone was simple, and we paid when we went to pick up the food which was ready to go at the requested time. Great service and pleasant staff!“

I ordered the beef negimaki bento box which came with soup, salad, a california roll, rice, and some yakitoried veggies. I was able to add one some tempura for 3 dollars extra and I sure did. Everything was absolutely delicious. It came quickly, and was hot. The tempura (two shrimps, a carrot, and a sweet potato) were crispy, light, and delicious. The salad had the classic carrot ginger dressing I love so much. The negimaki was good, the sauce was not too sweet, and the veggies and california roll all tasted great.I would absolutely order here again, the price was reasonable and the food was delicious.“

“I love to go to Pokemoto. They have really good sauces like the Creamy Miso and make delicious seaweed salad. What I like best about this place is the service though, the servers are always kind and efficient. Today I went to get a Poke bowl and my server, Sophie, helped me pick out some new things to try based on what I liked already. We went during the week after work and it was very busy.We got hibachi items and temporah. I had to get Sake because of the name!Huge plates and generous portions. There is a 20% service fee for dining in the Hibachi showroom as other reviewers have noted, however there is a sign stating that at the entrance and the server was up front about it as well, so it wasn't a surprise and does make sense given the extra service as part of the experience.I'll definitely come back in the near future!“

“Was here recently on my PTO while staying in Wallingford! Everything was amazing start to finish! You will not be sorry if you eat here! I ate like a Queen! Highly recommend the Mango Delight, it was so amazing! Crab Rangoon was excellent, my Smoked Salmon Roll was wonderful, and the Pho. Let me talk about the Pho. The Beef Pho was so amazing! It was so comforting and wonderful. It felt like home to me. Such a wonderful soup. It does come with big portions so you may have to take it home. I like the ambience. The booths are pretty private. You have to walk down a flight of steps and it feels like you're not even in downtown Middletown. The menu is extensive. Almost too big. Despite this, I've never had something I didn't love at Mikado. They've done everything well so far. The service is great, good portions and a variety of options.“
