Just came here tonight to have a new dinner experience with my daughter. We have never tried Filipino food before so we decided to try something new and we are so glad we did! The food here is different and flavorful, I don't think I've ever tasted such a sour flavor such as the one in the pork based soup we tried and I would never know how much I might enjoy that flavor. We also had the pancit and fried tilapia which were delicious as well. The women that work there are so warm and welcoming and even let us try a taste of the pork blood because I was so curious! That was good too! My daughter had the halo halo for dessert and said it was very interesting. I had a few bites too, it's not my cup of tea but for sure needs to be tried at least once. The next time we go back we're definitely trying the pork bbq and lumpia. Unfortunately, they had run out for the day. The chicken adobo looked yummy too. The flavors and the staff made me want to sample the entire menu. Very good introduction to Filipino food for us! Thank you!

I've been back since the last review. Our kitchen is out of commission for a while and was just craving some Filipino food, I got the pork bbq, palabok, dimitían and pansit . The bbq and palabok were great, the pansit was very salty. The dinuguan was good too. A week later, still no kitchen, they were out of pork bbq but got the pansit and it was just seasoned right. Haven't tried the Laing and langka but I got the siopaos (chicken bola2) and pork asado. Gone in 60 seconds.I think if they stay consistent like how they make the pork BBQ I'll keep coming back.

I love that I have Tindahan City as a quick food option near my new home. Be forewarned -- there are two Tindahan City businesses in separate suites in the same plaza and they each have a Yelp page. One is an Asian market. It looked good, but I didn't buy anything there once I realized it wasn't the restaurant part of the business. The restaurant serves cafeteria style Filipino food. I've had mixed results in my four or so visits, but I enjoy exploring and the good outweighs the average. They generally have a few stew type dishes, white rice, lumpia (small fried spring rolls) and Pancit (a stir fried veggie and noodle dish). I don't know the names of the stews but they've ranged from average to very good in terms of flavor and texture. I recall having ones featuring veggies, pork and chicken. The lumpia, which are a Filipino favorite of mine, were disappointing on the day I had them. They were made in advance. So they lacked the crispy texture I like and also weren't particularly warm. This is something that needs to be made when you order, as I've seen similar places do. Similarly, the Pancit was barely warm on my first visit. I think it would have been very good when it was first made. It was a bit better the second time I visited. I've enjoyed some sort of BBQ pork skewer, which was good chewy and sweet.I haven't explored them yet, but I understand some of the Tindahan deserts are popular, including one called Halo Halo. I'm not going to say Head Over Head Over to Tindahan City. Too obvious.Four Stars

We have been here twice and will continue to go back. The service was wonderful and friendly. The food is delicious, gives you that authentic home cooking, comfort food feeling. I would suggest going earlier in the day if you want it fresh. We've been trying to get Lumpia and have missed out both times. We will try again during lunchtime. The last time we went, they was live music being played. Would absolutely recommend this place for that home cook meal vibes.

Tasted home-cooked authentic Pinoy foods, clean surrounding, friendly service, not fancy, fair price, good parking space. If you crave for real Filipino foods, I rate it 5/5. Will come back over and over.

Brought back the memories [1970-72] of serving as Peace Corps Volunteers [wife and children] in the Philippines. Tindihan City has two establishments close by but not side to side. I was in the grocery one looking for the prepared food. Found it and got a Chicken Siopao [like a stuffed dumpling] that was soft, doughy and tasty. It turned out to be a quick snack. We used to buy them in Rizal Park when we visited the city from our little house out in Balayan, Batangas. They rest of the food was for dinner tonight; Pork Skewers which were delicious and coated with that glaze that exists nowhere else. Also got a good fresh portion of Pancit [noodles, chicken and veggies] which unfortunately had some gristle that took away some happiness. Will return and try out some other food memories soon!

Visiting Cali and looked for some vegan food options. Long story short, I'm addicted to this food and am now seeing a therapist. Portion sizes are large, food has amazing flavor, and always tastes fresh.
