We were hearing lots of great things about Casa Oaxaca. We stopped in on a Taco Tuesday. Plenty of parking in the lot. Really great decor. Plenty of seating on both sides of the restaurant including a nice bar area. There’s also a tv in the bar area for sporting events. Very clean restaurant and a great staff. When we were leaving, I noticed the tortillas being made fresh in the front of the restaurant. Made the experience even better. The food is amazing. They start you off with chips and salsa. We came during happy hour on a Taco Tuesday. We wanted to get a little of everything to try. Everything had great flavors. My favorite taco we had were the Carnitas. Really delicious chimichangas with a fresh guacamole. The empanadas were fried perfectly. The were filled to capacity. It was not like other places that put a little meat in the middle and it’s mostly shell. To end the night we ordered churros. Freshly fried with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Really finished off the great experience. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon.

I must say the waiter was extremely kind and welcoming. The food we ordered on the other hand wasn't- in our opinion good. The guacamole didn't seem fresh. The mole sauce had a burnt taste not good at all. I've tried mole from Mexican Restaurants in the area i.e Avocado, Puerto Vallarta, and Don Miguel they all tasted delicious. The chicken had no flavor. I highly doubt will be back.

Food okay, very bland. Margaritas, couldn't taste tequila, not sure there was any in the drink. Not going back.

The food was good as I was waiting. I went to use the bathroom and it wasn’t that clean. My feet were sticking to the floor like it hasn’t been washed in months. A bathroom tells you a lot about a business.

Wow! What a great Mexican restaurant. I stopped by with a friend on a Saturday night. Parking was easy. Nice decor inside and I was greeted with a smile. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very pleasant. Drinks were superb! We had the burrito and sopes, delicious. If you like spicy, try their salsa mucha. Can’t wait to go back! Great job!

I was in Connecticut for the day visiting a relative with my mom and always love trying a new Mexican restaurant since it's my favorite type of food. The reviews looked great as well. We went at about 3pm and we were the only table there. The waitress was friendly and the place was adorably decorated. Service was quick. Unfortunately, the food was so disappointing. My mom liked the tortilla chips, but I didn't care for them. To be fair, that could be a matter of preference, as I prefer that the tortilla chips not be so puffy as they were clearly fried in a lot of oil. The salsa looked like an almost pinkish liquid, with no chunks of tomato or onion. My mom and I ordered cheese and chicken enchiladas with red sauce so we could share both kinds. She said to me what I was thinking... the food was bland and could have been hotter. That same red sauce from the tortilla chips was poured on top of the enchiladas with a couple of rings of raw onion tossed on top, which was very strange. There was no cilantro in anything, the most notable missing flavor. The yellow rice and refried beans were also completely bland. The dull flavors unfortunately matched the dull color of the food's appearance. In looking through other people's photos at this restaurant, the food looked so much nicer than what we were served. I had high hopes for this restaurant as the ambiance and the service were good, but the food left much to be desired.

REALLY delicious food and drinks, great atmosphere and super friendly service! Marie was our waitress and she was extremely sweet and attentive. The complimentary chips are perfectly salty and crispy (we are two baskets of them). We shared the tacos al pastor for an appetizer, which were SO good - get the salsa verde to go on top. For dinner, my husband got the birria burrito special, which was gigundo, and I got the mole oaxaca. I love that it came with plantains, which were perfectly fried. We were soooo full afterwards but had to get the tres leches cake to go. We will definitely be back!

This place is good! This place is near where I live in CT and seems to have been built over an old Mexican bakery that used to be there. The place looks pretty popping though and we came here checking out the desserts hoping they had something similar to the old bakery. So we ordered the flan and it was... okay! Not bad, but wasn't as good as the flan that used to be there. Overall, will have to try their food and dine in once to give a proper full rating.

A friendly gem of freshly made Mexican food! They spoiled every other Mexican restaurant for me! Tortillas made to order, fresh guacamole & salsa, delicious entrees! A must go!

Coming from a mexican background I was exicited to try this place. It’s hard to find good mexican food around here. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. This restaurant was understaffed. We waited over 40 minutes for our food only for it to be cold!! Ordered the carnitas entree that came with rice and beans. Rice and beans had absolutely no flavor. Carnitas was cold. Margaritas didn’t even taste like they had tequila! Boy was I furious. Save yourself a trip and don’t come here.
