The place has a chill vibe. The service was great, and the food was good aside from the under cooked smashed potatoes. It's definitely a must try. It's located in the old Augies pizza space.

This place never disappoints. We had a wonderful time celebrating my moms birthday! The food was amazing, highly recommend any of the burgers and nachos to share. The fries are the best ? great cocktail list too xo can't wait to go back.

Went for brunch, sat outdoors. Menu looks good but our eggs were served ice cold and the "avocado" they serve with everything isn't avocado but some kind of pre-packaged guacamole. The shareable warm donuts were warm and delicious though. Heat lamp by us was broken so we were also cold throughout the meal.

Was in Bethel visiting my sister and made a reservation for 6 for brunch - hadn't been to this place since it changed hands years ago. Great atmosphere and the menu looked great but we were disappointed with brunch. Some of our dishes came out ice cold. I ordered avocado toast with eggs and it wasn't exactly avocado but guacamole that I'm pretty sure was not home made but packaged. The eggs were cold, the toast soggy, and the "spicy sauce" on top was more like tomato sauce from a jar. The warm donuts to share were great and some people in my party enjoyed their food more than others. Our server was great and I didn't bother to complain about my meal because she was so busy and I didn't want to wait for it to be re-made. Also we were outdoors and the heat lamp in our section was broken, so we were freezing.

Always a great time at J. Lawrence. Great drinks and burgers the best in town!

Had a wonderful experience here, while trying a new place with a new friend. We were greeted and seated quickly. The full menu made it tough to choose and the food was absolutely delicious. Also really enjoyed their mocktail options. Cool atmosphere/ambiance; noise level was standard-to-quiet and we had no issues hearing each other in our conversation. Will definitely be back!

Love this place! The food is always amazing and we love that the menu changes from time to time. The outdoor sitting area is lovely, well lit and the outdoor heaters make it super comfortable now that it's getting chilly. The love music was wonderful to listen to while we ate. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Had a great outdoor brunch with friends over the weekend. Try the J Lawrence mimosa, the avocado toast, and the egg "bowl".

First, it was great to have parking available. The patio seating was nice - better than most in-town restaurants. The food is very good with some of their own creations. Their version of a French Dip was excellent. Based on the ones we had, all the cocktails are absolutely fabulous, and we are going back to sample more of their creations. For example, this was the best Daquiri I have ever had (and that is saying a lot). Just extraordinary!

Great food and service. Live Music was good but too loud for a dining experience — made it difficult to have a conversation. Just needed to be turned down a little bit. Otherwise great!

Very friendly staff, great service, delicious food. The prime rib French dip sandwich was amazing! Nice ambiance, sat outside, beautiful weather and very comfortable with heat lamps. Also, music by the live band (Mental Health) was great too!

We really enjoyed our visit to J Lawrence. We sat outside in a lovely area in front of the restaurant, they have some heaters but they weren't on during our visit. Our burgers were outstanding and our server was helpful and polite. Great beer selection on tap. I hope to return to this delightful spot soon.

Went for brunch about a month ago with my wife. Absolutely great food - lively atmosphere for a late Sunday morning. The owners are really nice and really want you to enjoy your meal and return. They understand the need to earn someone's business (a trait missing in many places today.) One of us had eggs benedict - the other belgian waffles - and coffee and juice. They also have some great cocktails - we skipped that part due to rough prior night. Service was very fast and attentive - the food was perfect and very reasonably priced. Yes, more $ than the diner, but a very different atmosphere, experience and different menu - totally fair pricing and we will definitely return. Side note: We actually ate dinner there about 5 weeks ago - by we I mean a buddy of mine and I. Excellent beer choices, great apps, great dishes - see the menu, fair pricing. Seems like the place to go in Bethel - they are building a nice following!

Will never get tired of J. Lawrence Downtown. They always have s great choice of their own cocktails/mocktails. Food is always delicious. What nice is they change up the menu on occasion to keep it fresh.
