I was visiting my sisters in Branford on Sunday, and we went for lunch to the Parthenon Diner. There wasn't anything to complain about the whole visit. The seafood bisque was excellent! The BLT was excellent. And our server, Shay, was bright and cheerful. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

I’m new to the area. In running errands, I had driven past this place a number of times. With a name like “Parthenon Diner”, it seemed like it might be a good place to get some Greek food. So, I decided to take myself there for some Sunday dinner, around midday. It seemed like all the other customers were still in “brunch mode”, so my order might have thrown off the kitchen. I don’t know. The Greek selections on the menu are very few. I ordered the fried calamari appetizer, which was tasty enough but obviously frozen, not fresh. I then ordered the Vegetarian Greek Platter, which was a piece of spanakopita, one dolma. 5 kalamata olives, a few small wedges of pita bread, and a small plastic container of tzatziki, all served on top of a wilted “Greek” salad. The piece of spanakopita I received looked like it had been baked last week and had sat under a heat lamp since then. Again, I probably threw the kitchen off by not ordering brunch items at noon on a Sunday. My search for Greek food in the area will continue.

Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, fresh delicious food! Burgers and Reubens are fantastic, Belgian waffles are soft and delicious with fresh fruit, never disappointed!

Best diner in the area. A group of us who go out on Saturday nights have been to all the diners in this area and Parthenon Diner out beats the rest by alot. Not only is their food much much better, their prices are reasonable and their location for travelers is easy. Right off I95 and right back on. The service is good and Karen always goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we ordered the way we want it. Try this diner, you won't be sorry.

Go there every Thursday with a group of friends from Club corvette of Ct. Our waitress Karen is always great to us, gets everything out together and That can be as much as 20 dinners at one time. The food is always delicious and the staff is always extremely friendly.

We stopped for a quick bite and it did not disappoint. The kids got pancakes which they loved. Karen was great. She was efficient and attentive. Definitely one of the best server experiences we have had in a while. We will be back!

The food service needs improvement. I was told the food would be ready in 30 minutes but when I arrived the food was not ready. The manager said it would be out shortly. I then asked 10 minutes later when the food would be coming and he said 5 minutes. The food ended up coming out after 25 minutes of waiting!! The restaurant was not that busy and others were waiting as well. No apology or anything for waiting. I understand it's tough dealing with the public and running a restaurant but inaccurate food pickup time is unacceptable. I would have been more pleased if an apology was offered when I waited. This is not the first time I have had to wait for food here.
We eat here frequently because we always get great service and good food in a clean and friendly atmosphere. Karen S always greets us with a smile and provides great service. One of the best Diners along the shoreline.

Our family has been coming here for almost 30 years and they NEVER disappoint! The food is fabulous and the waitstaff is super nice and friendly. Our normal server, Karen, is the absolute best! She knows what we want to drink before we sit down! The food is hot and delicious! And don't get me started with the desserts and NOW they have soft serve ice cream bar!

Our server, I believe her name is Giianna, was a sweetheart. Young girl, very friendly and efficient. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The whole atmosphere was pleasant. It was nice to see how well all of the employees interacted and got along so well. There was a lot of chatting, smiling and laughing......none of which interfered with their great service. We are from New York, we are in the area for a weekend getaway. So glad to have found this gem.

Good service and abundant portions. Toast on the turkey club was a bit burnt, but the sandwich was loaded and the fries/slaw were well above-average. Service was very attentive and friendly also. Overall, much better than its Old Saybrook namesake.
