We had lunch here one summer afternoon looking for waterside dining. It’s off the main roads and takes some searching to find. We dined at a table on the patio overlooking the boats in the harbor in the distance. Our entrees of fish and chips, lobster rolls and corn on the cob was really delicious and the service was great. The final bill was not too bad and we had a nice experience at the Dockside.

I had the lobster bisque which had a large piece of lobster meat, the lobster roll with onion rings and a glass of rose. Lunch was excellent.

Hostess was awful... cared more about getting back to her station to look at her phone. Wait staff was great. We had Cassie. She was helpful, attentive and lovely! Food was delicious. We had seafood, salads, pasta.... All delicious! We sat outside. It was a beautiful view of the river with a lovely sunset.

Order was taken efficiently and apps came out in a timely manner, onion rings were golden and crispy, not greasy at all(which I personally can’t abide). My salad was fresh and the blue cheese dressing was to die for, all crumbly. Looked and tasted home made. Main course was sweet fried shrimp and tasty fries, great portion too. Dessert was decadent, rich and sweet strawberry white cake. Enjoyed it all!!!

The service was excellent too ~ even more appreciated as they had 2 buses of people stop for lunch unexpectedly!

We had an incredible experience at Dockside restaurant! My wife and I were truly impressed by the amazing job that Manager Adam and his staff did. Their hustle and dedication to making our dining experience memorable were remarkable. From the delicious food to the impeccable service, we couldn't have asked for a better evening. Dockside is definitely a must-visit!

Great spot in Branford located in a marina which makes for a great backdrop when dining on their outdoor patio. I went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and although they do not accept reservations, the waitlist moved quickly. While waiting, we grabbed a cocktail (a delicious coconut martini) from the bar and sat outside relaxing in their Adirondack chairs. Once seated, the service was friendly, attentive, and able to roll with the laughs and chaos of a larger party. I ordered a lobster roll and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of lobster meat on the roll. It was dressed with the perfect amount of butter and served with crispy fries. I look forward to returning to try more of their seafood dishes!

The food was good. However my son ordered fried scallops with fresh. Only 6 scallops on the plate!!! Very disappointed! On another occasion with friends waitress forgot my app! Not worth the wait!

Welcoming and friendly staff, however calamari not crispy, lobster bisque overly sweet, orecchiette (way too much) w/overly sweet sauce overwhelmed lobster, cook added grated parmigiano, (Italians never add cheese to fish) chocolate cake wasn’t ‘decadent’ more like a box cake with canned whipped cream. and no espresso offered on the menu. (Italians never drink ‘coffee with milk’ after lunch or dinner.) Order grilled fish, simple enough not be ruined.

Stopped at Dockside today for lunch. Our second experience here. The first was 5 stars all the way, but always wait to review until after a second visit.our chowder and lobster bisque were exceptional. The fried shrimp were ok. ( not as good as first visit)I ordered fried whole belly clams, a total and complete disappointment. First of all they were tiny clams no bigger than a quarter, they were oily, cold and soggy. The one and only clam I tasted had a foul taste, like a very bad canned clam. I was so dissatisfied that I asked our server to take them away. She was apologetic and took it off our bill and asked if I wanted something else. Unfortunately the after taste ruined any interest in anything else. I am shocked that the chef or cook would even send the plate out.Whole belly clams are usually fresh, plump and sweet, pure joy to eat.Your clams are not even in the running with Stowes!!!!!!We might come back, if only for the chowder and bisque, which were 5 stars!!!!.

So, we haven’t been here since last year. Probably have to adjust our expectations. We had the honey salmon lunch and the fried shrimp lunch. The portions were perfect for a light lunch. The salmon was sweet. Cloyingly sweet. We expected it to be on the sweet side but this tasted like pancake syrup. Oh, the dish was covered with white raisins. Raisins were everywhere. Even on the accompanying rice. The fried shrimp lunch was fine. We also had the fried calamari. It was a just right portion and it was quite good. The take away is always ask questions before ordering to avoid being disappointed.

It's great, it's delicious, it's beautiful. The place is kinda loud inside, and the servers kinda take forever to get to you, but it's no big deal. Go there later in the evening, around sunset, for the maximum experience.
