Hesitated to order the osso bucco and was so surprised how great it was. You don't necessarily expect a meal like this at a burger kind of place but it was absolutely delicious! Hope they keep it on the menu!

Very rude manager, had came in with a few friends all over the age of 25 and he decided to fold one of our ids claiming it was fake despite being real (literally just the new Connecticut IDs) proceeded to argue with us in front of other customers and insult us. At no point did he explain why he thought it was fake despite admitting he didn’t scan the id before folding it and asking us if this was a joke. All of us have been going there for a few years. Sad to say not anymore.

Fabulous experience! There were four of us and all our meals were excellent! I have to give the shout out for our waiter, Dylan. He was SUPERB! Anyone that eats out alot knows the wait person can make or break a meal--they don't come back, they check barely once, they don't care--not Dylan. He had the nicest disposition and energy right from the start. He had excellent food recco's, answered any questions and offered any food modifications if necessary. He checked on us just enough to show he was paying attention, yet not interrupting. While all our meals were excellent (Mexican Grilled Chicken Bowl, Ahi Tuna and Steak), dessert put it over the top. I had the Butter Toffee Cake. This dessert was as good as famous desserts from a well-known restaurant in Massachusetts--the Publik House. I am already planning on going back to Eli's--and definitely will ask to be in Dylan's section! Tonight's meal and experience were fantastic. Ty Eli's!

My Daughter, Wife and myself stopped in for dinner and it was some of the best food we had ever at a restaurant! Great portions and very tasty food. We will be stopping in again and taking the hour ride to do so.

At first the night was fun and the music was good, this was quickly ruined when a friend of mine was groped at the bar by a customer and when we informed management we were told there was ‘nothing they could do’. Our group was then asked to leave because they alleged we were “causing problems”. Don’t patronize this business.

It’s a great place. I had the bone in chicken wings but it really did not have any taste. I told the waiter but he didn't seem to care. My wife had some kind of sandwich and she enjoyed it. But i gotta say the french fries are delicious.

We booked the private room in the back for our after-party after our wedding and the staff there was fantastic! They made sure we were taken care of all night long and everyone was super helpful and attentive. Our family and friends had a great time and we are so happy we got to extend our wedding night here. There was a DJ in the main bar which our guests enjoyed dancing to in-between the apps that were served to us. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a late night spot.

Robin and her team at Eli's were fantastic! So easy to work with, had fantastic advice to offer and we're always easy to get ahold of. Everyone had a great time at the after party, and raved about the food! Having the bar close by and easily accessible also enhanced the party for sure. Great setting all around!

I have been going to Eli's in Hamden since the beginning, so I have a bias. Branford service is excellent. The egg rolls sampler is very good. Beer selection is very good. Dining near the bar seems dark. Hamden seems a couple of notches more inviting and comfortable.

I had my daughter-in-law's baby shower here and we all had a really nice time. Our server Eric was extremely attentive and accommodating to our requests. The food was delicious and I would definitely have another event here. Also, the sales and catering person Robin was very easy to work with. Thank you Eli's for making this important celebration such a pleasure!
