This quaint and picturesque area has been my favorite place to relax usually after visiting my dentist in Branford but I never stepped in this establishment till yesterday. I tried pastrami reuben written on blackboard menu and was I surprised! It came out piping hot after about 5 minutes of prep time, perfectly grilled crunchy butter toasted delicious bread, succulent and juicy pastrami, sauer kraut done just right, and whatever dressing that complmented overall taste. I savored every bite of this amazing sandwich as I watched people walking and doing their thing by the dock.

No frills but excellent food. Good variety. Hustling service with friendly smiles. Reasonably priced. Has a dockside extension for open air park bench dining.

My wife and I have been going to Thimbleberry two or three times a year for many years, for lunch or just ice cream by the sea. Given that, we want people to know that the falafel we had yesterday at the café was far and away the *best* we have ever tasted --and as vegetarians we have eaten a lot of falafel! Theirs had a satisfying crunchy crust around a soft, warm, moist center. Fabulous! Oh, and their ice cream is above average too.

We stopped in here for coffee after taking the Sea Mist tour, and had some great lattes. Friendly staff, good drinks, and prompt service.

Decent egg sandwich. Got the western sandwich that I assumed would be like a western omelet on a roll but basically it was the components of a western layered on a sandwich. The Inside was pretty tasty but my roll was stale and the bottom was soggy. (7.50 for the sandwich) The sandwich and a seltzer cost me 11.00, which I consider to be pretty pricey for a take away breakfast. Counter girl was nice. All others in there were definitely local creekers. If you're really starving then go here but next time I'll probably grab a sandwich from Joey cal's on the way to the beach for Half the price.
