Just ridiculous reception at Swim Across the Sound.Owner is so rude, unfriendly and unprofessional beyond the point of imagination.Unfortunately we'll be there again next year for another race since there is no way the finish line could be moved. So unprofessional.

The kids and I enjoy going there every year. We go 2 to 3 times a year. We like the shops we alway like the help the shops by buying something. Then we have fish and chips for dinner and sit for drinks and music. Nice relaxing time. We drive from New Britain ct to enjoy this time.

Open in spring until October. Best summers here. Live music. Good food. Fish and chips, chili dog, lobster roll, clam chowder, kind of food. Great place to dock your boat. Hang out on the boat while they play live music. Or stay in the seaport area. Has little shops in the summer. We made a friend swan too that comes to hang out often. Great amount of parking space. And come July, you can see fireworks!

Food is different most other restaurants and much of it is fresh and well though of! On the waterfront plenty of parking in the gigantic lot! Secured by staff inside and outside! A safe place! Great place for boaters they have everything needed for them!!The bar has great bartenders no rookies behind this very big bar and history of photos around the restaurant on 1st floor and very interesting to see the creating of the Caltain's Cove's Restaurant and bar upstairs and very big and newer decks over the water behind the building and bands weekly and more on the big Deck and they are sone of the best bands in the county playing to great fans of their's and dancing too and singing alone with the bands they are mostly familiar with and show them LOVE & ATTENTION while they dance! It's closed now until early May usually don't miss opening week in May they are on Facebook and other website to say hello to all of you and welcome to see you there to enjoy especially with all the cool shoppes on the long boardwalk over the coastal waters with so many different types of creative SHOPPES! Are very interesting and not expensive, some really rare things and also shops that have the hosts that work for customers with painting art and it is very good they do well! And other that see and repair and create clothes and other cloth things, most are intriguing very much! Come see on a nice day you WILL really enjoy CAPTAIN's COVE SEAPORT, BAR and RESTAURANT! Keep an eye & eR out to learn about opening day they have a great website with all the info needed

Captains Cove Seaport RestaurantI’ve been there several times with family and friends. We loved it…the building is great inside and outside. They have an awesome food/fish menu and drinks. The large deck with plenty of seating and also inside. They’ve had several bands playing fantastic music and entertainment. The service is great and I also want to give a shout out to the Manager Patricia Palko and the head cook Alex for a great job!FYI -last day is Sunday 9/24/23SHAMELESS night 6-10pm

Great place to grab a bite or have a drink with friends. There is always a good vibe here. Weekends tend to get really packed during the summertime. They also have a dock with plenty of small shops with all kinds of neat things to buy.

We were here last Thursday for lunch. It would be hard to find a better view! Great fish and chips and scallops. Good drinks, although we had to carry them from upstairs, my SIL has a boot on her ankle. They are closing for the winter but we will be back when they open. So relaxing. They have music on the weekends. Looking forward to it.

The area is very nice very clean. The staff was very friendly. The food here is horrible for the prices. Drinks are very mediocre. Definitely a nice place to visit if you want to sit by the water and enjoy your time there, but the food and drink are an absolute waste of money.

Love this place. Weekends it gets super busy, but they keep up with the pace. Picnic tables and water views, with live musicians and waiters / waitresses around the picnic tables to take orders.

Dirty place. Rude bartenders. Very rude owner. Food is sub par. The place is nice for the view that's about where it ends all together......the last drink I'll ever have there was a frozen margarita....it had mold in the drink which means the machine is moldy.......Sorry but I'm not into MOLD......Stick to canned beers that's your best bet. The place hasn't been cleaned well in years and it shows......please start caring about the people who pay to keep your business alive......

This mini golf course is LEGIT. Very high-quality, challenging, but fun holes. Nice shade, running streams, and growing vegetation. Ice cream is delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you’re in town!!

Love love love!! Found this place as a spur of the moment visit when we finished up at Mongers Market. After living in Destin Florida, we missed having casual waterfront dining and kitschy experiences. This place fit the bill for both! The menu was extensive for a “walk up and order” location, but they also have sit down dining on the second floor if that’s more your style. The dock had a plethora of tables for everyone so don’t be afraid that you won’t find seating! There was also a live band setting up to play while we were there. I am an absolute sucker for live music! We got the 2 fish and chips combo and an extra side of fries with a pickle. The fish and chips was 10/10!!! It was a HUGE thick piece of fish with the best crispy coating. And the fries had a battered coating as well. It also came with slaw, tartar sauce, and ketchup. Our total was $26 but the portions were definitely shareable. I also think they are dog friendly as a few people had their pups with them! After eating we headed down the boardwalk to pop into all the small shops. There was an ice cream store, a fudge shop, a painting studio, a clothing store, and much more! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back before summers end.
