Had high hopes for this restaurant/bar. Our waitress Kaylee was very stand-off ish and did not make us feel welcomed; ignored us when requesting her service ( our service) food was not as expected. very cold and jerk chicken covered in bbq sauce. not authentic. and horrible customer service. gratuity added into the bill although not deserved.

Honest Review of Grill II in Bridgeport: PSAHow did this place get above 3 stars? Granted, I haven't tried everything on the menu, but my experience with the Oxtail and my daughter's chicken tenders was appalling. The Oxtail, a staple of Jamaican cuisine, couldn't have been more disappointing. To rate it higher than 1 star is to claim a hot dog cart is haute cuisine, which would be an affront to some hot dog carts. The Oxtail was served in a small bowl with no spoon to remove the excessive oil, drowning the meat. The rice was bland and cold, obviously reheated with cold water. Each piece of meat was fighting for survival between jellied fat and excessive salt, the only form of seasoning. The first bite was overly salty, and the subsequent ones only dulled my taste buds further. Mixing it with rice didn't help.I initially blamed myself for expecting more until my 6-year-old said her chicken tenders tasted like fish. I tried them and indeed, they had the texture of chicken but the taste and aroma of fish—like dried, freezer-burnt chicken. They were left untouched. In short, the only decent items were the French fries and the drinks. Please, before giving a place 3 stars, consider whom you're representing: yourself, public safety, or the company. If it's yourself and the place is subpar, what does that say about you? If it's the public, be honest. If it's the business, you're only hurting it in the long run because eventually, someone will tell the truth and discredit your reviews, hindering everyone's chance for improvement. As I write this review six hours after visiting, I'm still haunted by the taste of that meal. It's crucial to provide honest feedback to help businesses improve. By sugar-coating or inflating ratings, we only perpetuate mediocrity. Let's strive for transparency and accountability in our reviews to support genuine growth and excellence in the dining industry.Ok, Vivaldi can help me forget.

Ive came here a couple of times for birthday dinners of friends & the food is alright. Nothing special. Had better in a shack...but my experience this time was cuz Im a uber eats driver & this the second I've pick up food from there & never again. I came in said hello & I'm here to pick up an order, before I could say the names she told me it's not ready it will be 15-20...I went back in my car and waited 20min just to come back & she tells me me we have no rice & peas. It will be 30 more min...mind you the open up @5pm & it's 6pm & they have no food ready...I called my customer told them & she was mad & asked me to cancel the order & she will call the restaurant cuz it wasn't the first this has happen. As I'm waiting on my other order. The customer who cancelled called the store & I could hear the employee of grill 2 tell the customer she never said 30 min & try to throw me under the bus & when the employee realized I'm listening she took the conversation to the back. Another server brought out my pick up & left. The workers are rude & very unprofessional. No hello or smiles & thank u...I will never eat there again & I will never deliver from there...drinks are weak & food is pricey & not tasty, workers have attitude & I will never send anyone there to spend there money.

5 Stars for the wings and shrimp - battered and sauce was flavorful. These were perfect. Now, they're going to have to revamp the oxtail rasta pasta recipe because it doesn't even look good and didn't taste its price tag.Oxtail empanada was okay.. a bit hyped up for what it is. It could have been regular shredded beef in there and I wouldn't taste the difference. We went on a Sunday where it wasn't especially lit, but we enjoyed the music and made the best of it. The hookah was hittin so that's always a plus

I've been here several times, and the town it self doesn't have much to offer for night life other then the stress factory so the grill is the after spot. Sitting 2 minutes from the events space, the grill has found a way to profit with the hour extension just enough time to leave the venue, grab a bite, and drive home bc they are closing soon... the indoor swings are a nice touch. The dj is excellent, the food is overpriced, usually cold and / or overcooked over seasoned overrated.

The food was okay. I’m from NY so I wasn’t too impressed. Also my stew chicken came out cold. I asked them to reheat it and it still came back luke warm, not hot. My rice was not good. It was very dry like it had been sitting on the bottom of the tray on the steam table. I also ordered cabbage as my side for my main course and was given carrots and broccoli. Once I addressed it with the waitress she informed me that that was cabbage they were serving today. Ummm ok. My group and I asked for 4 other items that were on the menu but “don’t have that today”. The waitress could of informed us prior to us ordering. But since her gratuity was included, she did the bare minimum as a waitress. We were the ones tracking her down but she was too busy kee keeing with the others waiters. The DJ was good so we’re the drinks.

Vibey Jamaican restaurant in Downtown Bridgeport, CT. I went on a Saturday night for dinner. However, they had our reservation mixed up. They have Hookah available in the back area & a live DJ. The music was on trend but overly loud making it hard to hold any conversation. The food was ok and flavorful but the limited menu options & MP prices made it hard to order, especially since the restaurant didn’t have many of the options available. The waitress didn’t tell us there was an up charge on the weekend nor it is advertised so that was a bit misleading when the we got the bill. For the portions, I also feel the menu is pricey. The drink was good but not very strong. Overall, it was just ok.

Nice place the food good, but the curry goat and oxtail at the time was a little salty. The area that the music plays, it is too loud for the inside because that section is so small. I would definitely recommend this place. The vibes is nice...Parking: I don't know because it was my first time there and the parking was very difficult. I have been driving around to find parking. May if it is possible they could rent a lot and charge customers

I recently visited this establishment and was some what disappointed. Upon arrival, the establishment had 2 customers seated at the bar area and the rest of the place was empty. Through my observation, some of the empty seating areas were left with food remnants. My party and I stood in the entrance way for approximately 15 minutes before a waitress appeared to seat us. The music was so loud that we had to ask if they would lower the volume. My friend and I ordered oxtails, rice and peas and cabbage and I must admit they were delicious. However, I ordered a jerk chicken meal to go and I had a drum stick that was so dry and overcooked that you couldn’t even chew it. I also had what appeared to be a meatless chicken back. As expensive as this establishment is, I was appalled that they would sell a customer food in this condition just to make money. The waitress was kind and attentive but failed to place the jerk chicken order to go on a separate bill after being asked to do so. Overall, I must say the food is very good, but I won’t go back because of my jerk chicken order and the fact that the music is just to loud.
