While attending jury selection, I happened to find this quiet place to have a very good meatball grinder, chili soup, chips and drink. Food was delicious and tasty. I really like this place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I recommend eating here if in the area. Overall, everything is nice.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary the other day. I have to say the pasta dishes were amazing! We both enjoyed our experience. Highly recommend.

Great food at an excellent price. It does have limited hours. Good vegetarian options. Bonus is you get to help kids learn real world skills.

After being seated, we got our order for pizza and it was fantastic! Super delicious and served quick to our table. My friends said they loved the pizza, 8/10 for it! Our waitress was awesome in taking care of us as well. Anytime I come to New Haven, have to get some Frank Pepe.
This place is a community learn to work program and only open Tuesday and Wednesday. Profits go back into the program. Place is very clean and cute. Menu is small but enough options for most. The star is there meatballs 6 different kinds beef, chicken, meatlesss black bean) chicken and meatless are gluten free. Served bunch ways plus over rice, pasta, grinder, bread cone or salad. they also have chili. Portions are very generous for the price 5 meatballs (can mix and match) with bed of white rice was $5 very filling pick your sauce and top with cheese. I got the American classic meatball, bacon cheddar and Italian trio. All were good and hand made on machine pressed golf balls. Mushroom sauce was nice. Would give place 4 stars for taste, cost and atmosphere but 5th is for the good it's doing for the community just wish it was open more days. Please support this place and will ever rewarded with a great cheap lunch. They also do catering. Next sports team party I am gong to try this place. Pasta, rice and meatballs with veggie options is perfect for my daughter sports teams that have all kinds of dietary specifics.

Oh my goodness gravy...literally and figuratively! A friend insisted that we visit when he heard rumors about being able to get meatballs here in a pretzel-y cone, like a savory ice cream cone of sorts. I kept an open mind just in case, and I am pleased to report that my expectations were exceeded. Both my friend and I got these seasonal meatballs that were beef, prosciutto, and either mozzarella or provolone (I forget, I remember being sold the moment I heard prosciutto) and they were super scrumptious. As a 4th generation Bridgeport Italian-American, I can't turn down a good meatball, especially when prosciutto is involved. The menu is vast and a little intimidating at first, but the best thing to do is just go step by step. First, they have you pick how you want your meatballs to be served. The two options that I remember off the top of my head are the cone and the 6 or 12 inch grinders, which you can get alone or as a meal. Then you choose which meatball(s) you want, followed by the kind of gravy, and so on and so forth. I opted for the incredibly good seasonal meatballs and the mushroom gravy, but I was sorely tempted to try the pesto gravy as well. I'm not the biggest fan of crispy french fries, but theirs were quite good. I arrived a bit too late, so my friend ended up getting the last cone, but the grinder was pretty good. I definitely recommend getting there earlier rather than later, since they seem to bake the cones in small batches. I seriously wanted to try the fried dough balls that they offer for dessert, but I was so excited by the meatballs that I forgot to order them, so I will have to go back and try them next time. Overall, I recommend this place. Aside from the food being so good, the place is part of a Work to Learn program, which helps young people get job experience, it seems. Some other reviewers seem to begrudge the place of a decent review due to this, but I assure you that they are courteous and prompt with service, plus the manager (I believe) that was there during my visit was a nice older woman. The young man who took our orders was thorough with explaining the menu items and providing what I felt was good customer service.
