Easy to make a reservation on a Friday night. The Hostess sat us right away and our Server was punctual in greeting us and taking drink orders. The drinks were well-balanced, not too sweet. We specifically enjoyed the White Bronco. The deviled eggs, pickles vegetables, chicken wings (chipotle honey), hush puppies, and chopped salad with chicken were all delicious. Our server was very attentive the entire evening and we felt very welcome and not rushed even towards closing. Thank you!

What a great meal. Everything we had was very tasty. I know other reviews mentioned that baby ribs weren't up to par, but I thought the ribs were excellent. We were in the back room which was nice and quiet, felt almost like a private room.

First timer here. Remove the ribs from the menu. No one should be eating those. They were tough and the sauce was too sweet. Just not good. The burger was ok. The fries were too salty, didn’t know that was possible. Maybe it depends on what you get. Waitress was nice and family friendly but we won’t be coming back.

The food is flavorful and exciting, the beverage selection is on point, the service is always friendly and complete. A great place for couples who don't mind kids sprinkled in the crowd, and for families with kids, too. A great option for take out as well as dine-in.

My family loves this restaurant. The food is spectacular, the ambiance warm and inviting, and the service friendly and efficient. I can't recommend Walrus Alley enough! Everything is prepared with fresh, real ingredients. I am allergic to corn and corn products but can have nearly everything on this menu. Hooray! No cheap fillers or junk here, it's the real deal. Amazing!

Rustic pub serving a wide range of good food and drinks with a German focus. Best bar tenders in the area. Lots of interesting beer and drink options. It's not a very big space so you can't always get a seat in the bar.

Fried chicken sandwich and hush puppies are great!!! Service is good, atmosphere is cool. But the ribs were disappointing. Especially for a BBQ place.

Walrus Alley, actually located in the basement of a building below another restaurant has a fun, pub feel, and was buzzing with both families and young people out for a night on the town. For appetizers, we ordered Pork Belly Burnt Ends ($18) and 2 Buttermilk Biscuits ($9). The pork belly was juicy, tender, and melted in our mouths, though flavorwise, ran a bit on the salty side. The pickle shavings it was served with were perfectly thin and served as a welcome bit of slightly sweet acidity to cut through the salt. The biscuits were heavenly; they were light and fluffy, baked with pepper on top, and served with a honey-siracha butter that made for a delicious bite. For entrees, we ordered Babyback Ribs ($25 for half a rack), Brisket ($19), sides of Mac and Cheese ($15), and French Fries ($5). The fries were fine, nothing to write home about, and lacking flavor, despite being crispy. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, but a little overwhelming in flavor. The ribs were quite nice, tender, and flavorful, but like the pork belly, were slightly salty. However, they were meaty and had the perfect amount of fat and bite to them. The biscuit was flavorful, though very slightly dry as if it had sat a bit before being served. Overall, despite a few points of inconsistency, Walrus Alley was a good dining experience. The volume of food relative to the price earns it marks, though be aware, you'll have to ask for water refills; the staff seemed to be lacking attentiveness in this area.

Fantastic beer selection in a cozy underground tavern. Loved the brisket and cole slaw.

Love this place. Great vibe, fantastic food (and great gluten free options!), and awesome cocktail and drink list. We can barely even try other restaurants in Westport because we love this place so much!

So LRoth and I randomly wandered in here one night after some Christmas shopping. They were decently busy so we got seated on some high tops at the bar. The place is cozy with eclectic decor in a good way not a cheesy knick knack way. The pork belly burnt ends were amazing. Tender and flavorful. Pairing with pickles helps cut through the fat and savoriness with acidity. We also tried the poutine fries. Gravy had amazing flavor. Fries were crispy. Lack of cheese was not an issue. We tried the Thanksgiving sandwich and the fried chicken sandwich. Turkey was a bit dry on the Thanksgiving sandwich, and it didn't hit with a ton of flavor. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious. Great crisp with great flavor in the breading. Corn bread with the butter was fantastic. Mac and cheese was so creamy with a night crust. We did come two days later. Tried the pulled pork sandwich, which was amazing. Juicy and tender pork with great flavor. We also got shrimp and grits. Grits were creamy but the sauce/gravy to grits ratio was too high. Definitely needed more grits to thin out the sauce. We also got a side of biscuits. These were okay. A bit heavy on the breading and not as crumbly as I would've liked. Felt more like bread than a biscuit. For dessert, we got a chocolate pecan pie. So flavorful without being overwhelmingly sweet. Over all, a place I'd recommend trying!

Came here for dinner last night and everything tasted amazing. Started with their old fashioned drink and this was a strong stiff drink! Wowza! We got the corn bread to start. Not a huge fan of corn bread but this one tasted amazing and super fresh. I got there beff chili and this was really good and a hearty portion, especially on a cold winter day. It wasn't spicy at all and had a perfect mixture of cheese, sour cream and beef/beans. Highly recommend this dish and adding it to the corn bread too. Others in my party had the pulled pork sandwich, Mac n cheese, cauliflower mash with gouda cheese and the fried chicken meal. We all enjoyed our meals and would definitely be back if in the area. Prices were on the higher side, but the taste made up for it - well worth it!
