We have been to this restaurant 4 times for lunch and all were good experiences. We attended a planned get together for 24 people for Happy Hour. There was 1 waiter assigned,, there was no requested water, a long wait for initial drink order and then a very long wait for food. Food came out sporadically , seemed to be based on what you ordered. The quality of the food was poor, the steak sandwich was a like rubber, a PLT was slathered in a mayo based sauce, it was just puddling, could not eat it at all and told the waiter that. He said he was not the chef. A disappointment and we will not return

Thankfully they have vegan meals on the menu! Good service. Martini flights for dessert. Good and convenient location.

My family and I are new to the Brookfield area and Del Primo was recommended to us. My family of four made reservations for dinner on new Years eve. For an appetizer we had the mussels and calamari the appetizer's were delicious. For entree's we had the chicken parmigiana, shrimp scampi and two salads. The entree's were large in portion size and very fair in pricing. I actually stopped the manager Eric and said this was our first time to his restaurant and we would be back very soon.

Excellent food and service! The first time there I went in not knowing the restaurant or what to expect and was so surprised by the quality and taste of the food! I have been back 3 times since and it always is consistent. Can’t wait to go again!

Second time visiting Del Primo, first time excellent, Second not so much. Wife started off with ceaser salad which she enjoyed. Son had the mozzarella triangles which he said were OK. My other son had the fried artichokes which he said was a big disappointment. I started off with the fried calamari which was excellent but added the peppers for $4 which was ridiculous for 4 or 5 slices of peppers. One son's entree was the chicken parm over penni which he enjoyed. Other son had the chicken Del Primo, chicken and sausage over mashed potatoes with broccoli Rabe and peppers which he said was very good. Wife had the short ribs which she said was like a goulash over mashed potatoes which she did not care for said it was far tooo peppery. I had the cioppino which is some mussels, clams, shrimps and a nice white fish. Added fettuccine for $5 which was very good. Dessert had a piece of cheesecake which was your everyday normal cheesecake, and what they called chocolate lava cake which was beyond disappointment. Nice atmosphere, good service and if we go back know what we will not order.

My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant and had dinner here on a Friday night a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good and server, Marco, very attentive even though it was bustling. My husband and I shared the mussels appetizer and we both had the veal and must say it was very tender. As one other reviewer commented, the room is very large, like a cafeteria, which made it noisy . There was no cozy feel to the room. I'm sure we will return in the future.

Exceptional dinner from friendly, knowledgeable people. The summer corn and tomato salad was a refreshing change from what this could have been. The pollo martini was superb but was just a teeny bit too lemony.. ask 'em to dial back the lemon just a pinch and you will LOVE this dish. Try the arancini. You might want to make a meal out of these little rice balls stuffed with sausage & mozzarella served with tomato sauce. Also exceptional: Summer risotto with roasted red pepper pesto, grilled asparagus, shaved zucchini. Who knew you could find exceptional Italian food (as good as any you found find in NYC) and equally superb service way out in Brookfield, CT?

Gave it a try with another couple. Our meals were tasty, but not something to rave over. Dessert was good though. Service was friendly but slow, with a couple forgotten drink orders. I think what kind of detracted from the experience was the lack of ambiance. It felt kind of like being in a cafeteria - noisy and echo-ey. Won't be in a rush to return, there are plenty of better options in the greater Danbury area.

Del Primo, we thought at first, was yet another Italian restaurant in this area. But it has become a favorite of ours, because the menu offers a good variety including really nice salads. The fish and meat that comes with the salads is nicely cooked and the quality of ingredients really shows. The outside seating is comfortably distanced. Not a traditional menu, which I like. Service has been good.

Not sure where others saw the owner as anything other than gracious and accommodating- we visited Del Primo’s the other night and I can only rave about everything from how responsible the restaurant is being during this COVID time- to how welcoming the waitstaff is- to how absolutely incredible the food is. Excellent suggestions were made and they even got my picky eater to try something new! The owner personally came to our table to make sure my daughter liked her food- and he was all genuine smiles to us and his staff!!! If you haven’t tried Del Primo’s, you’re truly missing out.

Incredibly happy this place is here. Went here for our first date night in 7 months with the new born during Covid times. Everyone had to sit outside and it was pretty humid that night but still....awesome experience, which shows you this place is for real. This will be our new romantic spot. Extremely prime food and service. Love the location close to our house. Name says it all

In this day in age when the entire world is eating outdoors or just home it is nice to fine a pretty good restaurant with relatively good food good service in almost perfect surroundings. So here's this brand new restaurant sitting in the middle of a strip mall. To me the key was answering the question "what if it rains"? I've come to accept the shortcomings of most restaurants. Such as limited menu, slow service tasteless food, flies and bees. This slightly upscale eatery has it main outdoor dining area in the "arcade" of the strip mall. It runs the length of the building from front to back. No worries about being rained on. It was kinda cool having dinner in that "tunnel". My problem was occasionally detecting the smell of something not pleasing to the senses. Perhaps that's why I rated this less than five stars. Also, my dinner Pollo Ripieno which was a chicken cutlet supposedly filled with fontina cheese, prosciutto, spinach, mushrooms was overcooked and it lacked all the goodies noted in the menu. The other three diners with me were quite happy with their salmon, spaghetti with clams and pasta. The service was excellent. I wish them well in their new endeavor, we will back for sure
