Young kids that clearly don’t care about their job or customer service. Music blasting in the back of the kitchen area that would be, I assume, not company approved or appropriate especially with children in tow.

Tonight I entered the Chipotle on Backus Ave Danbury (mall), unkept and disorganized as usual, hoping to get my daughter a burrito with their El Pastor chicken. I quickly found out that they were out and started to leave, but the young man behind the counter suggested that I waited 5 minutes for the next batch. I reluctantly decided to wait since it was my daughter's order. He then confirms with whom I found out later was his manager that the next batch (a young woman with a hostile demeanor). Ten minutes later, I approach her asking if the el pastor would be ready. She took a look at the burnt scraps left in the nearly empty container, told me this was enough and disappeared somewhere in the back kitchen. When I proceeded to express my disappointment to the young man who was still serving what was left of their disorganized offerings, he nonchalantly tell me that there's nothing he could do, that she was his manager, that I didn't wait any longer than any one else in line (which was completely untrue) and that I should not be upset. At that point, I was beside myself. I could not believe it!! I accepted the guy's offer to wait 5 mins and waited twice as long and was meant with disrespect and disregard. I have never experienced such appalling customer service!! Needless to say, I will not be returning to the Danbury Fair Mall Chipotle anytime soon, and I would caution others against subjecting themselves to such a dismal dining experience.

I have pretty low standards when it comes to customer service, but this really stuck out to me. The employees were strikingly rude and nasty, not a good experience.

Avoid this place at all cost. Everything was filthy, employees had explicit music playing with kids around, and food was ?

Portions were tiny. Barely any chicken, and the little chicken I got was burnt. Watery beans and barely any. Worst chipotle experience I’ve had.

I do a lot of work in NYC and none of the Chipotle's in NYC have been as dirty as this one. The employees have a bad attitude, as if they don't want to be bothered with your order. Guess what? That's what you're getting paid to do!! There were no napkins available (look at the pictures posted). ALL the garbage cans were overflowing with garbage. This is disgusting-it makes you wonder if the areas the customers can't see are just as dirty. This place is giving Chipotle a bad name. ?

Visiting the Newtown Road Chipotle in Danbury, CT, last Friday at 8 PM turned out to be an eye-opener—and not in a good way. With their doors open until 11 PM, I expected the usual Chipotle vibe and service. What I got instead was a crash course in how not to run a restaurant. It’s clear now why there’s a chorus of voices saying this place has nosedived over the past few months. The staff? Unbelievably rude. It was as if they were competing for the title of ‘Least Helpful Human of the Year.’ My simple request for them to replenish basic ingredients like peppers and onions was met with laughter and a flat-out refusal. It was a surreal moment that had me questioning if I was on a hidden camera show. Spoiler: I wasn’t.This isn’t just about bad service; it’s about a complete breakdown in customer respect and operational efficiency. If this is the Chipotle standard now, then something’s got to give. It’s not enough to rely on brand loyalty when your service is chasing customers away. This location desperately needs a wake-up call—be it through comprehensive staff retraining, a serious management shake-up, or both.I’d advise potential customers to steer clear of this train wreck and head to other locations like Mill Plain Road or the mall, where hopefully, they remember that customer service is not an optional extra.Rating this experience is 0. It’s a glaring signal that unless significant improvements are made, this Chipotle shouldn’t count on its doors staying open for much longer.

UPDATE - they responded as you can see, I reached out to them as told, and their only reply was, ‘ sorry, we’ll let them know. It’s not our standard blah blah’. That’s it!!Well, still not going back. Do better!!! DisgustingDisgusting. So dirty, and there were barely any customers waiting.. the employees were chilling while my husband cleaned our table. Felt like I was at one of the subway stations in NYC. I guess they don’t care much about their customers. Not to mention this was my son’s first time at chipotle. I had a mobile order for 7 pm. And we got it at 7:05. We left at 7:30 after eating, and still no one care to come clean. Food and was below average too! Looks like chipotle downgraded! Never going back!

Ordered three chicken burritos for dinner around 7pm. Got to know that cheese and fajita veggies are out during the middle of serving. Then we realized that rice was half cooked and not consistent. Chicken was overcooked and bitter in taste. I have similar experience from the past but this time I couldn’t resist myself without writing a review. This is the worst food I ever had from a Chipotle. Simply not edible! For whatever reason, this particular restaurant fails to maintain the food quality and standards found elsewhere.

The inside was not clean.. they didnt know how to wrap a burrito and had to put them in bowls or rewrap with a new tortilla wrap several times.. the amount of meat they were putting in the bowls were small and then was charged for double meat after putting literally a few pieces of extra meat… there was a guy with long hair preparing the food.. he should’ve been wearing a hair net or at least have his hair tied back and he was also picking at and eating the food that was being prepared… the girl at the register was handling money with gloves on and then went ahead to put chips in the brown bag for me with the same gloves on… drink machine broken and just pouring out lemonade. There’s just so many things wrong and it’s unacceptable and gross!!!

So many bad reviews but this was the best and freshest chipotle I've ever had! And it was delivered too

Recently ordered to-go steak bowl with rice and beans. Got home, well the steak was cut so very small and not much quantity. Previous visits to other Chipotle locations, the steak was larger pieces and more quantity with my order. Seems like you guys are stealing from your customers. I see what you are doing now. When I go to McDonald’s for a burger, well I receive a burger like I ordered. There is a reason McDonald’s is the leader in the restaurant business. Will never return to any Chipotle. Very tired of these games.
