Within the Danbury area, I haven't really enjoyed my time with some food spots. I will say, coming here to Market Place Kitchen and Bar, I was overtly impressed! I loved the hospitality and the respect shown by the employee. We brought in a 2 month old baby and they were not just accommodating, but respectful of allowing us to handle the baby. The waitress checked in on us in a timely manner and was extremely friendly with us. I received the steak frites and I'm pretty big on steaks. The food came out to preflection. The steak was well seasoned and cooked. The fries were crispy and very flavorful. I can confidently say, I was completely satisfied. I decided to get cheesecake for dessert and I'll tell you, I was not dissapointed at all! The area was very clean and restaurant temperature was great. I felt very comfortable while having dinner. I can say that I will be coming back here and getting dinner again with others. If you are in Danbury and looking for good food, along with good service, do not look any farther. THIS is your spot!

Whoever is the guy in the back just slinging out brussel sprouts all day, give that man a raise asap. One of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted in my life. Absolute perfection of a mix of ingredients.

Food is consistently fresh and good quality whether for take out or dine in. The burgers are excellent, steak sandwich is very tasty and same with the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Across the board the entrees were enjoyed.
Haven't been to this marketplace in a while and while the appetizer was good, my wife and I both got the spicy chicken bowl and neither of us enjoyed it. First, all dark meat was extremely disappointing. Second, the amount of rice and lack of sauce, made 3/4 of the meal the equivalent of just eating plain white rice. Not exactly what you'd expect for $25.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pretty. The food was meh...kinda like an upscale Applebee's but more expensive. Cappuccino was $7! And it was cold even after we sent it back once. Probably wouldn't bother again.

Seriously good food! Farm to table. Fresh. Kobe burger was cooked to perfection and the truffle fries...chef's kiss. Nice chill, rustic ambience. Mario, our waiter was really friendly and didn't rush us out, even though we were lingering longer than normal. We hadn't seen our friends in a very long time.

Waitress rarely followed up, couldn't even order another drink and it was FREEZING in the restaurant. Was really disappointed that we had to get up and track someone down to get the bill. I expected better service and not to be trembling in the restaurant while sitting only one table away from the back by the bathroom. Found myself going tot he bathroom to warm up since it was actually very warm in there.
