Warm folksy atmosphere with some lovely baked goods and great service. I went for the Taste of Danbury and picked the red hot mama burrito, which would definitely order again! Ask for some sauce on the side, because the smoky Chipotle hot sauce they have is great.

Service is friendly and quick. We ordered the Idaho Girl Skillet, the Southwest Omelet, and two of the delicious turnovers. Everything was tasty and filling. It’s neat to sit and watch the kitchen through the large window, and see them making more turnovers! What a delightful little spot!

Consistently fresh and delicious food. Baked goods are wonderful, coffee is delicious! Selfishly, I wish this place was on mill plain rd as downtown Danbury is getting worse every day and parking for this particular location is difficult. The food must be great if I'm willing to keep coming back but "Mothership on Mill Plain" does have a ring to it!

Mothership on Main and Charter Oak brewery brunch collaboration is a success on both fronts! You are in luck still because this brunch takes place every Sunday in February! And what a wonderful thing to do with your Valentine! My husband is a beer connoisseur and he reviewed the beer variety in a separate review. I will just add that visiting Charter Oak brewery and meeting the owners was a delight.I will review the food experience of the event.Everything that Mothership on Main catered for this occasion was so delicious! LThe mouth watering quiches, frittata, mini shepherd pies, French toast, chicken pot pie. Scrumptious! And the baking goods made with so much love and thought is a staple of that bakery. I tasted morning glory muffins, cheesy biscuits, and miniature danish-like pastries. And everything I could not taste (I was too full), I still see in my sweet dreams and wish I have tasted.Great baking there! Textures, flavors, appeal - it all gets high marks from me.Thank you Mothership on Main and Charter Oak Brewery for creating this one-of-a-kind event!

What’s better than starting your day with a “I can’t make this at home” breakfast? ?Mothership has it.We traveled to Connecticut for business and wanted more than a hotel meal. The staff is friendly, helpful and eager to make your visit memorable.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ are not enough to describe how much we enjoyed our Mothership experience.Do NOT leave without selecting some of their incredible, fresh-baked items! Later in the day, you will be happy you did.

I love coming here!. I travel over 30 mins to this awesome lunch cafe. I'm lucky my sister lives in Danbury and I can visit here when I'm in the area. My favorite dish is the Hot to Trot Skillet! 2 eggs, roasted vegetables, black beans, chipotle, adobo sweet potatoes, pepperjack, and my fav beef short ribs!! Or you can get bacon, sausage, ham or tofu. Excellent and friendly table service.

Delicious tumeric latte. Perfectly crafted. The atmosphere is retro cafe. Staff super friendly. The baked goods are always fresh and a smash hit. This time around I opted for a breakfast choice of chicken and waffles with spicy honey. Very delicious! The chicken was a little dry as you can kind of tell from the picture... but the flavor was spot on. Go to Mothership! You won't regret it.

While Mothership on Main has a vast menu of unique and gourmet-sounding breakfast options, I’m going to have to agree with the minority of reviews here and say that the restaurant is largely overrated.Mothership has its own, albeit small, parking lot, with limited spaces in front of the building and a small parking garage in the back. Going on a Saturday around noon time wasn’t the best idea as the restaurant was packed. The estimated wait time to be seated wasn’t bad, around 15 minutes total, however that was just to get a table. My guest and I were sat in the middle of the restaurant at a table meant for four (no big deal), but no menu was offered until about 15 minutes later when we stopped the waitstaff for them. The waitstaff graciously accepted our request for a smaller table, as my friend couldn’t comfortably sit in one of the stools. And once we had menus, the server was quick to make her way to the table, speedily offering drinks and recommending specials. In terms of the food, I ordered a hazelnut latte and the “Hot to Trot.” I specialized it to short ribs and sunny side up eggs. The coffee was beautifully presented with great latte art and was a nice “pick me up” to start the meal. The entree however was lacking seasoning and the vegetables were slightly overcooked. The hot sauce provided tasted more like chili paste and lacked the essential heat to add a better flavor profile to the dish. The meal was in no way “bad,” but it felt very lack luster in comparison to the descriptions and accompanying pictures online. The atmosphere overall felt very kid friendly, but didn’t match the expectations of the eclectic name. A seating area for patrons waiting for their table would be helpful and it would be nice to have paper napkins on the table, in addition to more decor. With the subpar food and lack of ambiance, I couldn’t help but feel like I was at a glorified diner, as opposed to a hopping and up and coming, modern restaurant.Respectfully, I would like to see what service Mothership has to offer on a weekday perhaps, when the restaurant is less busy.

I had the chicken and waffles. Wow! Fantastic! My wife had an apple turnover and loved it. Only negative was that my first cup of coffee tasted like it had been around a while. The owner immediately and with a smile replaced it with another coffee. You can't deal with it any better than that! They put the customer first. First time, and we will be back.

Today's experience was not a great experience. We came in and were seated promptly which was a plus. The decor, as always is cute and the server came to take drink order and food order for us promptly and was warm. This is where the good news mostly stopped. The food took a while to come and our server did not come back in the interim to offer refills on coffees while we waited. When the food came the food runner did offer a coffee refill which was nice. My husband and I both ordered the green goat omelette. I began eating my omelette and it was immediately crunchy as if rocks were in the food. He experienced the same issue and pulled all of the spinach out of our omelettes to be able to continue eating . I left a quarter of my omelette and that never happens for me. We discovered that it was in the spinach as if it was not washed thoroughly. This made for an unpleasant eating experience. We also never saw the server again until I went to the car with one of our kids while my husband had to flag down the server to both tell her about our food quality issue and pay for our check. On prior visits we've never experienced this issue which is why I'm willing to give 3*s instead of 2*s. Needless to say we were offered a free cookie but that really didn't add up. I also ended up having bathroom issues later to put it mildly; so it will be a while before we set back into this place.

Restaurant is cute, and the self service concept is nice. Drip coffees were lukewarm when served, omelets were ok, a little on the greasy side and overall underseasoned.

Loved our breakfast here this morning. We tried out two of the egg skillets with short ribs, strawberry and whipped cream pancakes, blueberry & peach mini pies (not sure of the actual name), chocolate croissant, and mocha lattes. All were really delicious, fresh and hot. Clean restaurant, mostly self service but helpful staff as needed. They gave real maple syrup without a special request which says a lot to the quality of the rest of the ingredients! Will definitely be back
