Stopped by with the whole family for a late breakfast/early lunch. Everything was so delicious. The chicken cutlet on a hard roll was my favorite.

The Darien Diner will now become a regular stop on our way from Maine to NYC. Here's what we got: Meatloaf dinner-Very big portion of meatloaf with fresh mushroom gravy and lots of mashed potatoes, also came with a salad Turkey club sandwich-Seemingly hand cut turkey with lettuce, mayo, tomato and bacon on toast-solid I got the french onion soup which was excellent and exactly what I hoped for (plenty of cheese) and a side order of spinach pie which was huge and tasty for 8.99. Adorable setting, great servers and clean bathrooms.

Parking: On a bust morning you may have to wait for a spot to open up or you can chance it and park in the lot next door but idk how safe that is and what the towing risks are

The food was pretty good, portions were of decent size but an egg white omelet thar costs 17.95 should be HUGE and it wasn't. The French onion soup was excellent. Oreo pancakes from the kids menu lacked Oreos but the portion was large for children.

My girlfriend and I have been regulars here over the last two years. It has become our happy place. We look forward to a Sunday morning breakfast or late-night Saturday burger. The aesthetics are quant and the servers are always friendly. The type of environment that seemed to go extinct during Covid and that we all miss.

Love coming here for a regular breakfast. Today we decided to have roast beef sandwich. Unfortunately, roast beef was minimal. The lettuce and tomatoe were greater than rb sandwich. My tea was luke warm. For this visit I'll give it a 3. Previous visits were a 5 for breakfasts.

Food was great. Tacos were very flavorful and delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and service was great. Even recommended meals so that the party wouldn't get the same foods. Ambiance was that of any other diner. Felt the old school diner vibes which was great.

Food was underwhelming. Service was okay. Fries were good. Corned beef was a tough as shoe leather. Portions were small.

A Diner with 50s styling and an old auto greeting when you walk through the front door. The food was very good. We had breakfast and were well filled! The menu is a mix of standards with many of their own variations added in. The service was very positive and all the staff is just plain friendly. It is really easy to get to from I-95 or from the main streets of town.

The food was ok, but the waitress didn't write down our orders (5 people) and my order was entirely wrong. She argued with me when I said it was wrong, telling me I didn't order it how I said I did. Everyone at the table backed me up because they heard me order, so she brought out corrected food, but really didn't appreciate how it was originally handled. The food was alright otherwise.

Unbelievable experience here. My friend found a hair in her nachos. Not on the top - in the center. She had not stirred the nachos. There is no possible way that this hair fell from her head (or mine) and landed in the middle of the macho stack. When we pointed it out to the waitress, she was extremely rude and unapologetic. She implied it had been put there by us, took the plate, and then ignored us. When we insisted on speaking with the manager, the manager again implied the hair came from one of us and refused to apologize — until we demanded one. She rudely and begrudgingly said “what do you want, it taken off the bill?” We accepted this offer. We both worked in food service for years and found this response to be outrageous. The cost of the food is totally beside the point. The rudeness was over the top and totally unnecessary.
