There restaurant is Family owns and family orientedthere consistent in the recipe, Is what make there pizza the very best in town ,in my book.We Love there pizza .,?we always get a large pizza (sausage and xtra cheese) and a two liter Ginger ale. Owners and staff are very friendly, they get to know their clientele i appreciate that they recognize me when I come in. It a friendly welcome. Had the Bacon Pepper Jam Burger with fries and coleslaw while I waited on my car to be worked on at Hoffman Ford around the corner. The handmade patty with caramelized onions was juicy perfection! Kudos to the coleslaw...?? Didn't expect the sweet-and-tart flavor which totally balanced the entire meal. ??

Ok so because I am still thinking about the service and implicit bias at this establishment I will speak about it. I visited this place on a Saturday night 9/2/23 between 7:30-8pm(this will matter later) only because I was looking to find a good family style restaurant for the last night that my sister will be in town as she was leaving the state for good. I read the reviews on the shrimp scampi pizza( which we did enjoy and it would've gave this restaurant at least a 4 star review if not for the discrimination) and was sold. So we met up there. Here's the thing, I don't go out looking for anything so at first I or we being my family felt something was off but we didn't want to be one of those people who just complain and assume the worst. We sat and was never offered water(this is what confirmed our suspicions). The waitress comes over after a long wait with an empty restaurant ( should've been a clue to leave) she tells us about chicken wings that was broiled around 2pm that afternoon and not smoked mind you but broiled and they fry it to order and it is now 8pm. We didn't even want wings and that was all she talked about that was on the menu and walked away- We were like hmm ok even if we did who the heck would eat them after being broiled and left out for so long. Anyways we order and I will admit that the pizza was good which has me so upset since I will never give them another dime of my hard earned money. So my daughter and her boyfriend walks in late and sat across from us. To understand we are black and he is white. Well what do you know, the waitress immediately walks over to them and offers water without even asking and barely even sat down. Well then we looked at our table and realized we never did get any water brought out to our table even though we are eating. We finally told the waitress that we were together and she scattered like a roach when the lights come on because she knew she messed up at that moment. Well I asked for water and I will post the difference in even the cups we were given. I guess she thought the "white guy" was paying and well some people I now know can't help being who they truly are because she still came back after she composed herself I guess because it was a long while before she did return and still only looked to him to service him and I'm the one paying. Well I usually give a minimum 18%, but she definitely got 15% and even that was too much as I could've ordered for delivery and had better service. That is my rant. No black person should EVER spend money at this establishment. I wish we would stop saying " but the food is good though" while being mistreated. SMH
