Wow!! Visited Cabelas today and this gem was the food truck on site. We were blown away with the apple cider donut which sooo fresh and tasty!! We also tried the stuffed jelly and stuffed Boston crème. Very flavorful and certainly stuffed to the point where they were messy, but in a good way!! Kind of pricey, but you got your money's worth for sure!!

Their menu doesn’t post the prices of the jelly and frosted donuts. $20 for 6 donuts is steep. The jelly was sloppy and made like a sandwich instead of the filling cleanly in the middle. Also found a hair the jelly. The frosted donut tasted stale. I’m no fan of Dunkins but I would rate these even worse.

I don't think any words are necessary once you see the donut in question. I won't mind if you skip all of my writing, and go right to the pictures! I will continue now. Wow!! This is a delicious donut! I stopped by Faddy's Donuts because I've heard from a few people that these are THE BEST! And they aren't wrong. These come from a food truck, in this case a Donut Truck, it is parked in front of Cabela's in East Hartford. They had a variety of very generous donuts lined up. The Boston Creme donut, was so pouffy and enlarged, from the very generous amount of the custard filling. There was a bacon donut, an apple cider donut, among others. I wish I could remember the exact name of the one I got, it might have been called Maple Pecan Chocolate. The food truck also sells popcorn and apple cider. My donut was $4. Since this is a food truck, and it was raining, I had no option but to take it to my car. This donut was jam packed with pecans, chocolate and maple frosting. It was so sticky, and messy but absolutely delicious! The donut it's self was super soft and fresh! These donuts need to be known about. I can't even imagine how tasty the other options are. I can't wait to return here very soon!

Ive been to hundreds of normal and specialty donut shops across the country in my lifetime but this place is such a hidden gem and even the basic sugar donut itself is probably the best tasting donut I've ever had.

Kind of hard to find since we didn't know this was a good truck in front of Cabela's but the donuts were worth the extra driving!
They need better storage to keep the donuts away from the flies?? they are too expensive one apple cider donuts cost $2.00 and there donuts are left in the open being exposed to flies I saw this with my two eyes flies were making contact to donuts?

Fell to the temptation at the cabelas entrance. Always partial to Boston crème. But the maple bacon beckoned. Most delightful donut I have had in years.

This place may have good donuts but NEVER HIRE THEM!! We hired them to make donuts for a wedding (instead of a cake) and they were A NO SHOW!!! We found out they were not coming AT THE RECEPTION!! What kind of business does that for a wedding...with a signed contract and deposit!?? You RUINED our reception you j**** And then we found out they have done the same thing at the same venue, with the same lame excuse (overbooking??? REALLY???)for another wedding. NEVER HIRE THEM!!!

They’re not as affordable as say a dunkin’ but they’re SO GOOD. I got a couple of the boston cream and some of the granulated sugar jelly donuts. Not even kidding they are the best jelly donuts I’ve ever had. Worth every penny and you’re also supporting a local business instead of some corporation.
