My husband and I tried this place on a whim. It was a very busy Friday night, lots of take out pizza's passed by us on the way in. I order the chicken marsala and my husband ordered cheese pizza. He said the pizza was good but he prefers our usual pizza places instead. My chicken marsala was tasty. I also order a white wine sangria that was excellent! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We shall return.

Last week, my mother & I found ourselves hungry at the right time & place. It was our first time there since we don't live in the area. We are very happy we stopped to try it. Our waiter was the bartender who was a gentleman w/us. He learned it was our first time & gave us a chance to sample the two different types of bread offered. The food was delicious & exact to the menu. He was conscious about anything we needed at our table, even with it being busy. I hope writing a review over a week later shows just how much this place impacted us! We definitely want to go back. My mother even says she wishes there was one closer to us (we live in the valley.) We could tell families from your area love your restaurant & we see why! ?

Placed an order for two salads. Soon as I walked in on takeout a brunette lady with a claw clip in her hair with glasses, was VERY rude. Slight comments, rude gesture. Paid over $40 for just the two. Her alone makes me never want to come in again. Miserable lady.

Located outside of New Haven, on Route 80 in East Haven, John &Maria's makes a fine New Haven style pizza. Also great for dinners, and they make a J&M grilled-chicken salad that includes walnuts or pecans and Craisins, great, tasty, and healthy.

My wife and I have been ordering from here since we moved here 2 years ago and I've never had a bad experience.
We haven't been to this place in a while, but stopped in this past Saturday and had an excellent experience. Quick courteous service, and an excellent pie. My only problem was with the perimeter crust, which seemed dried out and unfavorable.

Love their pizza but the price is steep .. Theirs may be top in the area but the pricing has grown beyond just standard inflation. Regardless, it's next to impossible to get a seat inside on the weekends

Had a great time visiting J&Ms. We’re visiting family in a nearby Shoreline town and wanted to get some good New Haven-style pizza before heading back home to the South. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was very friendly and had crayons for our preschooler in tow. Good selection of beer and wine and the salad was very good. Parking, atmosphere, remodeled bathrooms all make this place a better choice for many that want more of a pizza restaurant vs just a small storefront with limited seating so keep that in mind if that is what you’re looking for. We will be back next time we’re visiting family and want to go out for pizza!
