Ordered at this place for the first time. The Jamaican patties really hit the spot with very flavorful fillings and flaky pue crust. So delicious! The collard greens are vegan friendly, as they did not put any grease or bacon in it. Definitely will order again.

We arrived to go to Sugar Bakery next door and noticed a sign for Papa's Wings & Seafood. While we were looking up the menu, one of the owners welcomed us inside, wanting to feed us. He was very informative and helpful, as I have gluten sensitivity. It felt like being in your friend's kitchen and all they wanted to do was make you happy and feel at home. We ordered flounder, rice, collards, and butter beans as well as a beef patty, which he said they make fresh each day. We enjoyed how the fish was buttery and completely fell apart. It went well with the seasoned rice and I really enjoyed the cole slaw and was surprised to find a corn bread muffin inside my container. We appreciated how they have a rewards program to save money on our next visit.

WOW! I felt compelled to write this review after trying this joint a few times. A couple times during and after the pandemic, and just this week. As a native Nutmegger born and raised on the CT shoreline, having been endlessly spoiled by the awesome seafood here and having worked in a fish market growing up... This may rival some of my favorite spots. Had the shrimp and clam strips, with a side of hush puppies. Everything hit. The seasoning (cajun) was incredible it's the closest I've had to NOLA style, cooked perfectly, and the just the right amount of batter. Really feel the price is fair for the amount of food they give you, especially during these inflation times. Even the coleslaw, which I'm very picky about and I only eat from one place (Fish Tale), was great. Definitely recommend.

Solid choice for chicken, seafood and sides. They have convenient online ordering and service is friendly. Street parking out front and orders are typically ready on time. I personally like their clam strips and onion rings but also have tried fried shrimp and boneless wings. Lots of sauce choices or dry rub. We will definitely be regular customers here!

WOW. The food was very good. The chicken wings and tenders are so crispy. The pork is very flavorful and juicy. Great prices for the amount of food. I recommend it to people who like soul food. Candied yams, collard greens, mac & cheese, and much more. Great place. The only thing I would have liked is a better sitting area.

Hands down this place is a 10/10, 5 star establishment. Not only is the food amazing, the owners are friendly and make you feel like your at their diner table. There is love in their food, seasons you can taste it with every bit. Tables to sit outside on a beautiful day. I drove 45 minutes and it was more then worth it. We will be back. You won’t be sorry.

I placed an order a few weeks ago, the service was a bit slow, but I get it everything was made fresh, I ordered the fried rib and fish combos. Fish was good, ribs were ok. I personally didn’t like the yams or Mac and cheese. I’m not deterring anyone from giving the food a try. In my opinion I think he needs a few extra hands to get the food out faster. Much luck and prosperity on your business.

Tried various items on the menu! The Fried Fish Platter with Cajun French fries, Cornbread and Coleslaw, Seasoned Rice, Hush puppies, Spicy Beef patty. All tasty with great service. Definitely going back to try other options on the menu!
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and today was the day. Got a pulled pork sandwich, fries, coleslaw. It's a clean, family run take-out place. Driving home my mouth was watering because it smelled so good. I was not disappointed. Sandwich stuffed with tender pulled pork, fries weren't greasy. Definitely gonna try other dishes from papa's.
