Save your money !!! very disappointed in the birthday cake I ORDERED!!!! First , it wasn't even ready and had to wait for it even though it was ordered 5 days earlier. Second , I requested all pastel flowers along with happy birthday ....., Well what I got was 3 PRIMARY colored flowers bright yellow , bright blue and hot pink !!!! Third , the PRICE !!!!! I paid 70$ for an 8" cake !!!!!! I had to use a skewer to poke holes for the candles !!!! So stick with any other bakery ..... and save 1/3 the price ... it was an embarrassment to show and should have left it at the store !!!!!!

Alina created our cupcake tower for our wedding in Southport Connecticut. Not only was it gorgeous, it was absolutely delicious! We planned our wedding from afar, and Alina was very helpful and accommodating, even offering us a last minute tasting as we arrived in town. I showed her a photo of our wedding flowers, and she created cupcakes that were a perfect match. Thank you for helping to make our day so special.

Alina's Patisserie is on Black Rock turnpike in Fairfield. They have nice cakes. The cupcakes are good too. The raspberry cupcake and cake and really good, even the frosting. They made a pretty cake for a special occasion, it was decorated nicely with flowers, and they sprayed glitter on it. Really nice!

The owner/baker is rude and obnoxious. The workers seem to be high on drugs or have no manners. We put a deposit down for cake for a pickup week later. My daughter changed her mind and called back the same day and canceled the order. Went to pickup the deposit next day and they said there's a 10% cancelation fee. We dealt with other bakeries in Greenwich and New Canaan and never heard such a BS. First and the last time with this place!

The best cakes!! They look and taste fantastic. Just got a chocolate with strawberry filling for my husband's birthday and all of the guests raved about it. Good/interesting cupcake flavors too

I don't understand why anyone would give Alinas a bad review. She is an artist and goes above and beyond. My grandson's first birthday was cancelled due to Covid. I called with a special request today. She made a beautiful fresh cake to order at the last minute. Her cakes rival any I've purchased in NYC. Quality ingredients, and not too sweet. Don't listen to the negative comments about personality. Customers should be held accountable when they post unjustified negative reviews. Alina is a lady and deserves accolades. Thank you Alina Tricia Page

I asked the owner if she could make a Polish dessert that was not on the menu, and I showed her a picture of it. She said she could, and this was on Halloween weekend. She went out of her way to accommodate my special request, and the dessert (kremkowka papieska) was perfect!! It tasted delicious, and I was so appreciative that she went out of her way at a busy time!!

I'm truly upset by my experience for my daughters 1st Birthday. I ordered an Elmo smash cake, which was supposed to be vanilla with banana buttercream and 12 cupcakes decorated as various Sesame Street characters vanilla with raspberry filling. I came into the store on Saturday even though my order was placed for Sunday because they told me to. I didn't have an issue with this, came at 5PM and asked for my cake. They were confused when I told them my name. Said they couldn't find my name, I got worried and confused. Maybe I called the wrong place, it has to be my mistake. So I called the same number that called me while I was in the store - their phones rang. I was frustrated at that point tbh. You should have a system, maybe a board or IPad with your customer order names written down. Something. I went back up to the desk - waiting an additional 5 minutes because they were all confused and unorganized. And I told them this is 100% the place that I placed my order. My name is XXXXX - she keeps looking around for my order. And then pulls our 3 carrot cupcakes and 3 coconut cupcakes. I automatically tell her that's not my order - I ordered 12 and they were the same plain flavors but decorated for my babies party. She said that's what we have written down for you. I was upset but not too worried - I could always grab the ones they have ready. I ask about the cake - she told me it was a vanilla and strawberry buttercream. Absolutely not - I understand you messed up the cupcakes but the actual smash cake ?? I let them know it was fine - Not what I wanted at all. She called the owner out - who looked at the piece of paper and basically made me feel like that was my order but I forgot and it's my fault. I said it's fine I'll just take the Elmo cake and go - she said it's not done and it's just white. That's how they left it - I was confused because they told me to come before they close to pick it up. They close around 5ish .... So I grew impatient and asked her how long it would take - she says "I don't know send me a photo of what you want me to do with the cake" I mean it's an Elmo cake not that goddamn hard. So I send the photo and go home to unpack my groceries - come back 1 hour later right before they close and she didn't even look at the photo I send her. She proceeds to talk to me about it and tells me how the orders are so different. I mean it was obviously switched and no one will accept blame. I said it's fine just throw flowers on the cake I wanted to go home ASAP instead of wasting my weekend talking to this idiot. She goes to the back 20 minutes later I start getting angry and tell the lady I need my cake i want to go home. She comes back from the back room and shows me on her phone the owner is proceeding to make the Elmo cake. I looked at my husband in disbelief-- questioning maybe I didn't just tell her to throw a few flowers on there and call it a day. He's confirmed what I said. The owner comes out 15 minutes later and tells me there was a miscommunication. LOL. No there wasn't. You just weren't listening to me. I was on the verge of tears from having to wait there 1 hour, when they told me to come in early. For them messing up the flavor, decor, and even the number on her cake. She was turning 1 and she wrote a 2. The taste of the carrot cupcake was horrible, salty for some reason. Coconut was way too sweet. And the cake was the most disgusting sweet flavor I've ever tasted. I placed it in front of my daughter and she couldn't even reach the cake.. there was at least 1 full inch of frosting. I will never come here again. Not just because they messed up, but they continued to blame me and not listen to me or care about their customers. This cake was for a special event in someone's life. *** WARNING : Do not come here unless you want a disgusting sweet cake with shirt decorations. If you are looking for a nice place, there's a good bakery in Bridgeport and one on post road Fairfield. I

Ordered the cup cakes here many times. Tasty but pricey. What i like is that the cup cakes aren't overly sweet like other bakeries. Always a good selection. Only 3 stars because the price to quality ratio isn't completely there.

We have ordered many custom cakes for various events and they are all beautiful! Her vanilla custard is also absolutely delicious!! I posted some photos. Thank you Alina!! You are so talented!

I had a disappointing experience with a cake that I ordered for my daughter's baptism. I didn't have time to go to the shop to order in person, so I took a chance ordering over the phone. The staff are short over the phone and you feel rushed in trying to explain what you want. I really hoped that they understood what I wanted. I sent a follow up e-mail with the photo of the design that I wanted and reiterated the specifics of cake that I wanted, which was a vanilla cake with vanilla and chocolate cream inside with buttercream frosting. It went unanswered, so I had to call back again and confirm they received it and get a price for the cake because they needed to see the design first. I was so excited for this cake, and when I cut into it it was vanilla cake with all buttercream. 2 layers of buttercream with buttercream frosting. No vanilla and chocolate pudding cream on the inside. It was so disappointing and wayyy too much buttercream and not something I ever would have ordered. The cake part it's self was good, but none of us are huge buttercream fans to begin with so everyone picked at the cake and then left pounds of buttercream which got thrown away. I called the bakery the next day to express my disappointment and try to understand where the miscommunication occurred because it was not at all what I wanted or ordered. The person on the phone was nice enough, but Alina was not in and was told that she would call me back. I never got the courtesy of a call back to apologize or to try and work something out. I never would have expected a full refund, but something, at least an acknowledgement. It was a very pricey cake to not get what I wanted and throw most of it away. I had a decent experience with them previously when ordering cupcakes and cookies (in person) for my baby shower, but even then I ordered 6 chocolate chip cookies and 6 m&m cookies, and they just decided not to make enough of what I ordered and gave me more of 1 cookie vs the other. Not a big deal, but still not fulfilling what I ordered. The cakes themselves are good, but the whole experience has really put me off and will look elsewhere to order cakes in the future, where I am confident that I will receive what I ordered and if not, there is a higher level of customer service. It's an easy, close location to go to for me and they have good treats when they get it right, so bummed that this didn't work out better.

Ordering a cake there is a struggle. They are very short w you and I felt rushed. Ordered something else w a custom made topper. Went to pick up and was told cake topper wasn't available. Why wasn't I notified of this where I could have time to go buy a topper??? Super frustrating. Owner has a nasty attitude. Doubt I will return.

Alina's has been around for years and for many the go to cake shop in Fairfield. I've had more than 1/2 a dozen Alina cakes for various occasions and found a general consistency. The cake is generally stale (either frozen or baked several days before being decorated and sold). The frosting is tasteless, dense, and very heavy. The cakes, however, are BEAUTIFUL. The attention to detail in the flowers, piping, and decorations is unrivaled in my opinion. In summary, I've always been disappointed with Alina cakes because they do not live up to the expectations when you first take these beautiful cakes out of the boxes. Improve the quality of the cake and change the frosting and these cakes would be awesome.

Some cakes are nice some are just ok. A staff sounds like she is angry but it's not a big thing. As the counter has a glass cover due to Covid-19, some staffs are not wearing a face mask. Guess they wear mask at least when they touch the products.
