This is just an average bakery. Depending on what you get it can be pretty good or pretty bad but nothing amazing. I'd say give it a shot if you're wanting to come by but don't expect something extraordinary.

Great selection of fresh baked breads, pastries, cookies and cakes. They have pretty good bagels too. Good for a quick dessert to take to a dinner party (love the cheesecakes), or sliced fresh bread for the week.

First time I've ordered at Billy's. All I ordered was a apple crumb pie for today, Easter Sunday. When I arrived to pick up the pie this morning, I was told they didn't make it. No apologies and an attitude that screamed they didn't care! My first time there will also be my last. I don't recommend this bakery to anybody...

They have forgotten our order twice now. They are completely disorganized. They also don't care when they mess up. Do not recommend this bakery at all. Theirs are many better bakeries nearby. Avoid at all costs.

Every-time I call to make an order they either can’t hear me or they can’t make a sandwich because there Kitchen is closed. Smh.. disappointed.

On Saturday February 11th at 3:15 PM I purchased 4 rolls. They were hard as a rock and I threw them away. I will never visit Billy's Rock Emporium again.

I'm in awe that this bakery is still up and running. They do a *few* things right and *many* wrong. First off,I get it's a bakery, I'm not looking for a fancy Westport place here..but this is the MOST disheveled mess of a bakery. Boxes all thrown everywhere, employees looking for bags and pulling out every drawer to not find the correct one (label things!) the labels on the ill, stale looking pies and cupcakes are all handwritten, some typed,on different pieces of laminated paper all in different fonts, with smudges and dirty icing finger prints on them, Dirty glass all over too. Also some of the baked goods have MARGARINE listed on the labels- are you serious?! I ordered a blueberry muffin, check out the picture..The pros: VERY friendly staff, great coffee, croissants, bagels and bread. That's it!! They need to tailor this business down to what they do right and they could be SO lucrative. It needs a "bar rescue" for bakeries. Get rid of all the poor looking cakes, desserts, cupcakes etc and focus on what's good and MAKE MORE OF IT! Fix your displays, get rid of a lot in there (when a display is 1/8 full and dirty, it looks super lame) have a few NICE FULL displays and clean it up! Heck, with the extra room you could put in a few small real tables (not the wood, strange wedding arbor you have in there currently). I will continue to come here for coffee, bagels and croissants but have felt compelled to really try to reach out to you to offer advice as it really bugs me for some reason.

I liked the scones. I liked raisin walnut bread. But I've eaten better scones and better bread at other places.But there's no character at the place, average cleanness and very expensive.
I usually like to support small bakeries, however, I was extremely disappointed after trying this place for the first time. I got a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting and a caramel brownie. Both were extremely stale and I was barely able to eat the chocolate cupcake, so I just threw it out. A waste of $7.

I purchased baked goods for a family gathering. They were nowhere near fresh! Ended up in the garbage. I've had their sandwiches and they are really good. But what I witnessed a couple of times during regular visits was very disturbing. The female owner really belittles and embarrasses her young employees. These employees are always so kind and a big part of why I shop here, but lately they can't seem to keep the help because of the female owners poor attitude and bullying of her employees.

Good old fashioned bakery with really good butter croissants! Flaky, buttery, layered, a proper croissant. Not like Donut Inns laughablely dry hamburger roll masquerading as a croissant. The bagels, while not 100% authentic par baked are also very good.
