The owner of the business did not like that my boyfriend was holding my hand while we were waiting for food and came up to our table and told him to keep his hands on his knees. My boyfriend immediately got up and asked for our food to be wrapped up to go since we had already ordered. Our waiter was pleasant and amazing. Just beware of owner!

Great service from the waitress, bartender, and Patrick, the owner. Live band played great songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Guinness good and The Castle burger was decent.

We went to the Castle for my husband's birthday which is Christmas Eve. They had a special menu and you could order off either one. I had the scallops with risotto and my husband had a mixed seafood dish off the main menu. The food was excellent!! Bar drinks were very good!! We will be back!

It's okay and I mean that in a neighborhood sense. The food is overall good. They have live music often which makes it easier to handle the non-pub feel. It's very popular with both old and young. Been here many times but didn't eat this time.

Our family's go-to place is The Castle, Black Rock. It all starts with the warm genuine Irish hospitality. It is charming to hear a few brogues while you are there too.We started out with our usual favorite #BuffaloCauliflower as an appetizer. It comes with two dipping sauces... my husband likes the spicy one and I prefer the traditional blue cheese. For our entrees, my hubby had #SoleFranchise entree and I had #PenneAlaVodka. The penne dish has both chicken and sausage in it and fresh Parmesan cheese on top! It’s incredible that an Irish restaurant makes such great penne! Both absolutely delicious. Both entrees were so big we had to get containers to take home. #Leftovers tomorrow for dinner so I get bonus points for getting dinner ready two nights in a row!Parking: They have their own lot, an adjacent one next door and plenty of street parking.

About 10 parents and 8 kids from our hockey team came here for dinner one evening. We were seated in the 'solarium' part of the restaurant. Things started well, despite the longer wait times for both food and drinks. My wife had ordered a Cosmopolitan which was poorly made, it was all vodka with little to no other ingredients. We spoke to the server and returned the drink with a sip missing. She requested a wine instead which was fine. Our bill came at the end of the evening, only to find the Cosmopolitan was still on the bill. Keep in mind the total bill for our entire party was probably in the area of $800+.We notified the server that we would like the Cosmo removed, and her response was telling of what was to happen next. In storms, a rather rude man says "There is nothing wrong with the drink, I'm not taking it off the bill, I've been making drinks for years" and walks off. This was not the bartender, it was the owner. FTR, the drink was returned but we were still being charged for it.We needed to get our kids home for an early game and chose not to wait for the server to come back to collect my payment card. My family walked into the restaurant so I could pay the server standing at the bar. Around the corner comes Patrick Anthony Klein making all attempts to embarrass my wife and me in front of the bartender who I guess made this terrible cosmopolitan. He is yelling at the top of his voice at me in front of a full restaurant and my kids about how he's been "making drinks for 40 years", etc. He was very angry, unprofessional, and rude. I told him that he was just embarrassing himself and he started to act like a child. Then he tried to run me out of his restaurant telling me twice (and I quote) "Don't come back again - I don't want people like you in my restaurant". For the record, I am Black, so his statement and his actions carry a lot of weight. This was an upsetting evening for me and my family. He really upset my 9-year-old.The reason I have his name is because I told him I would write a review so he threw his card at me and said "my name is Patrick Anthony Klein - make sure you spell it right" .This has to have been the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, and I've dined all over this planet.Congrats Patrick Anthony Klein you have given me the WORST dining experience I ever could have imagined. Don't worry, I'll NEVER step foot in The Castle, Black Rock AGAIN!
