I was surprised when we got there, looks like a super typical town-y pizza place tucked in a somewhat dingy plaza. The inside is bright, clean, and not at all what I expected. The service was friendly and very fast. There was a steady stream of patrons but staff kept up well, all seemed to be having a good time. The meatballs in vodka sauce were delicious. Fettuccini Carbonara was flavorful and well balanced. I personally would have had more sauce, but I will just request that for next time. Ravioli are huge and generously stuffed. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian experience in an unassuming location.

First time under new owners. Ordered the Chicken Pesto pizza with mushrooms. Have to say it was very tasty. It was done ontime when I picked up.the box was heavier than I recall from first owners...just an observation. When I got home and opened the box, the pie was a little folded over as it was slightly larger than the box. To me, I've ever have seen this. So, it's a plus, but not an expectation. I felt the price was worth it. Nice job.

Takeout pizza was good, but pricing was VERY high for what you get. Cheaper options in and around Glastonbury available for similar quality. That said, the two groups of eat in diners looked happy.

This is hands down the tastiest pizza in Gbury! Thin crust, great sauce and toppings IE sausage, meatball so delicious. If you like new haven pie this is similar without the char.

Not only is the pizza good, try their specials and pasta dishes, very good! Had their piccata and bolognese, yum! Fresh, hot and served with a smile. One of our favorite, casual restaurants with friendly service, tasty homemade meals at reasonable family friendly prices.

My first visit to Pizzeria Sassano and was very pleased with the mushroom pizza that I ordered for take out. Wanted to try this place after reading about it in this month’s CT magazine article on top pizza places. They offer grinders and other Italian inspired dishes as well. Pizzas come either as red or white and offer several for vegetarians. Looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes.

It is a nice casual pizza restaurant. We read the article in Connecticut Magazine September 2023, which recommended the Pepperoni pizza. We started with meatball appetizer, with Vodka sauce. Three medium meatball's were tender and flavorful. Pizza was good, thin crust.
