Some of the best sushi I've had in the States. The attention to detail is what you would expect from a proper sushi restaurant in Japan. The interior is also trendy, and the wine was top notch. Check it out!

Worst service of any restaurant in the area. Second time same experience. The food was good just really bad service the first time so I tried again. We are here and ordered sushi and sashimi appetizers....45 mins later they still haven't arrived. Response from wait staff is the kitchen is backed up. Place has so much potential but it's run by in ept staff. Close doors restart and try again

Amazing food and equally amazing service!! Chef and all staff were so friendly and attentive. Everything was so fresh. One of best omakase experiences I've had. Will definitely return!

Was not impressed. They were rude to my husband when he showed up early for the take out. For the prices and location, you’d think the food would be more impressive. There are definitely better places in the area.

I've been to moon 4 or 5 times since it opened and I loved it. The food was fresh and have some classic dishes with a new and modern flair. Lots of healthy options if you're into that. Something for everyone. Omakase, etc. The cocktails were amazing. I tried "The Moon" a few times and they're really consistent. I tried a bunch of dishes and their sushi is delicious. I loved everything I tried but haven't been back in about 9 months so it's very possible the menu has changed! Now they have lunch and takeout which is cool. Looking forward to going back.

Came here with a few folks for dinner. The menu is basic. They have no cocktails, just some basic wines - the server was clueless about the drinks. The duck bao buns on the menu does not exist & it's actually just pork STEAMED buns! What a disappointment. Again, the server was clueless about these things. It would've been helpful had we received proper guidance & information on what to expect vs. what's on the menu. (Owners/Management: Please actually have a menu that reflects what the kitchen is capable of doing/serving.) The sea bass was another disappointing dish. It's covered in some red seasoning & deep fried! Lastly, we were hoping the restaurant could redeem itself with its desserts... we asked the server for the menu. It took more than 5 minutes before someone came back. The restaurant is half empty! There were only 3-4 tables: two 2-top & a 5-top. I had to go back to the server station and ask again. Only then we were told they don't have a dessert menu!

Moon follows in the tradition of the space's previous tenant, Asiana, in specializing in serving Chinese AND Japanese foods. Not blended or synergied but rather two separate menus, akin to running an Israeli and Palestinian menu under the same roof. Makes no sense to me but maybe people here don't notice. Odd still is that Asiana still exists, having moved just a few doors down from its prior space. One crazy concept went unnoticed so why not double the supply of crazy? My lovely wife and I sat down at noon to an empty dining room. Austere setting with generous space between tables, not just Covid distanced but sort of a fine dining vibe. Prices too were elevated. We were hoping for something memorable. Ordered mapo tofu, shaking beef and veggie noodles. We waited what felt like an interminable 35mins for our dishes to arrive. All three dishes were served not hot but room temperature. The mapo didn't have enough of that numbing pepper and its sauce felt less complex and interesting than elsewhere. The shaking beef at $27 was just flank steak dredged in corn starch flour with a syrupy teriyaki sauce. Didn't love this either. And the veggies in the noodles were easy to miss, just a couple chopped carrots. Very lame. Waiter was nice though.

Horrible place. We walked into a completely empty room and stood by the entrance for a while. Nobody greeted us. An old man behind the bar saw us but didn't even bother and just continued doing what he was doing like we were transparent or weren't there at all. We got to the front desk and talked for a while until the man finally decided to say "hi, do you have a reservation?". He then lazily gave us a table and was weirdly staring at us as if he was pondering why we ended up in their restaurant. Odd! Then I saw that the leather placemats were stained with grease or something. The utensils were also dirty and smudged. We decided to leave. Completely bad demeanor + uncleanliness.1 star. Will never return.

The decor and vibes are fantastic, but:- Service is awkward bordering on uncomfortable- Prices are totally unreasonable- You can hear the restroom hand dryer loud and clear from the other end of the place- No dessert or cocktail menuI really wanted to like this place. One star for location and atmosphere.

So we've been to Moon before they changed management/owners whatever. There's a difference of night and day . It went from a very upscale restaurant with amazing cocktails to a take out Chinese place . We were so glad they opened up again and we're only extremely disappointed. There was hardly one or two people sitting where before you could not find a table. And it's not because no one knows they opened back again but probably whoever went back will surely never return ever. All the pics are from before they changed. So you will be wasting Time/Money going there . Expect below mediocre Chinese food and zero vibe . So depressing.

I was there 4 months ago and had a wonderful experience. We add amazing food and the cocktails were great. We went back today and we very diss appointed. It’s below average food , slow and poor service. I have to ask a spoon for my soup dumplings ? !

I had really high hopes before going here after reading the Yelp reviews and other critic reviews online. The food was tasty (nothing we ordered was life changing) but the service was strange, and we left there feeling like it was a weird experience, not what we expected. We had the veggie bao (they were out of the duck bao), chicken dumplings, a few pieces of nigiri, 2 rolls, and a duck entree. The fish was super fresh and delicious and my husband enjoyed the duck. The veggie bao were fine but nothing incredible. I read so much about the great cocktails and I was looking forward to them, but we were only given a wine/beer menu. When I asked if they had a cocktail menu the server said "I don't think so." Our food took a while to come, and the restaurant was only half full at the time. No one ever offered me another glass of wine or checked on how we were doing while eating. At the end, I asked if they had dessert and they said no we don't have dessert. I've never been to a restaurant that didn't have dessert!

Staff and food were great. Only complaint is the veggie Bao was bland. We'd definitely come again.
