The new owner is so friendly and the food is so fresh and delicious! They have a lot of accommodations like vegan/GF/etc and I will definitely be coming back!

I have had food here 3 times since the new owner has opened. Excellent all 3 times. The chive cakes are fantastic. Thai basi fried rice level 4 is spicy and delicious if you can handle it. My wife is a vegan and they gladly accommodate her. I would 100 percent recommend this place. They have added boba and other tasty teas to their menu as well. Just excellent over all

Friendly Thai closed a few months ago. They re-opened under new ownership with a new menu & staff. This isnt the friendly thai that earned a high rating; be warned. Old Friendly Thai was a 10 out of 10.

The new Friendly Thai owner is still using the old Friendly Thai Google page with the same reviews as before. The original Friendly Thai was delicious and there were so many vegetable forward dishes. The new restaurant lacks vegetable forward dishes and based on that, I will not be going back. If they add more healthier-optioned dishes, I would give them a try.

This business has new owners as of March 2024. The menu prices have increased slightly, and they now offer dine in seating.I was excited when I saw this business reopened and eager to place an order. I placed a take out order for two entrées and an appetizer and arrived to a very busy restaurant. They were running behind and I received my order 1 hour after I placed it (quoted 35 minutes). The bag was missing an item, which thankfully was just misplaced. When I got home, my partner and I were disappointed with our entrees. Both were a generous portion of noodles but all other ingredients were sparse, and the egg was severely overcooked. My entree specifically was missing mushrooms and celery completely. The pad thai was void of sauce and served with a side of crushed peanuts. The redemption for our order came from the thai curry puff - a flaky and light appetizer that reminded me of a samosa.I feel like there was a strong legacy cemented by the consistency and affordability of the previous operation.I’m hopeful that things will improve, but currently I’m hard pressed to say I had an average experience.I look forward to revisiting soon and I willupdate my review accordingly.

We love Friendly Thai. The noodles are always incredibly flavorful and I like how you can really customize the spice and protein. Take out only since Covid, but food is always delicious

I used to live in the area and got Friendly Thai religiously. It was the best Thai food I’ve had, and ever since moving away I’ve missed it.Stopped by yesterday (8/9) to get take out (so sad there’s no more dine in but so glad it’s still open and thriving!) and was a bit disappointed. I got the spicy basil fried rice with chicken. The rice was VERY mushy. The flavor was amazing and tasted the same as I remember. It must’ve been an off night (I hope!) but it was sad to experience that for the one time I was back in town!

Authentic Thai food with an abundance of flavor. One of my favorite spots to stop at if I am feeling anything Asian. Only downside is that their inside has been closed since COVID so no dine in. Other than that amazing.

Everything here is great. Portions are great for price and quality is excellent with perfect amount of seasoning. Takeout orders are always correct and pickup times are always accurate, never left waiting. Must try the thai iced tea!!!

Best Thai food in New London. Their pad Thai is superior in flavor. Tasty summer rolls as well.
