The Fisherman is our go to for date night, the servers and managers are so personable and the food is great! Zach, the head chef, went the extra mile to come say hi and ask us how our specials were. Their jumbo coconut shrimps are one of our favorites, and the home made pickles on their burgers are some of the best I’ve had. This is worth the few extra miles to the water front, and definitely the place to be for outdoor dining when the patio is available!

Nice little bar - we ordered a cup of lobster bisque, the fish tacos and the butter poached lobster roll. Everything was delish - lots of great flavor in the bisque and an obscene amount of lobster in my roll! The views from the tables are lovely. We'll stop by again when traveling through!

As a life long New Englander, I am always looking for amazing seafood places as the area is full of them. Not often am I absolutely blown away by a restaurant....that is until I ventured into The Fisherman at Long Point. Good god, as lord as my witness, I have never had a more pleasurable dining experience than I had that night at this restaurant. I know what you're thinking: But Ryan, what made it SO good!? And to you I say: Buckle up bruthah, because you're about to go on a culinary adventure that tingles all your senses from start to finish. First off, can I talk about the ambience for a minute? K, thanks. The location on the water is perfect for a night out with the bros or a romantic night out with your main squeeze (ooo la la). The decor is refined, yet not over-fancified (not a word, I know, relax) as all walks of life can cozy up to the bar or a table and feel welcome. The outdoor area is gorgeous and I will absolutely be returning on a summer evening for a couple of Amaretto Sours or a glass of wine. Ok, ok, ok, lets get to the food. We started with the fried calimari, a New England staple you can see on 99% of menus in the area. I was not expecting anything special but GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY was i wrong. The calimari was so tender and delicious, fried to perfection, not greasy. The kind of calimari that would make a single tear fall out of Gordon Ramsey's eye. Anyone who knows ol' Ry knows I am a sucker for a good salmon dish and the Fire Cracker Salmon did not disappoint. Perfectly spiced, tender, cooked to perfection. Had I any ounce of courage, I would've stormed my butt back to that kitchen and kissed the chef (no diddy). Sometimes I wake up in cold sweats in the night thinking about that tender pink flesh of that salmon and how I could eat that for every meal for the rest of my life. The staff was tremendous. From being greeted at the door, to the server being attentive but not overbearing, it was a perfect dining experience from start to finish. I even heard they have trivia and live music from time to time after a brief conversation with the Manager (I believe her name was Beth). I will def be back for these events! Sorry for the essay here, y'all, but I cannot recommend this place enough. I drove from Providence to eat here but realistically, I would charter a sailboat from Madagascar to eat here again if it meant I could have the experience I had again. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your coworkers, bring anyone you know to this place and enjoy it. Thank me later. xo

The Fisherman has been an area staple for as long as I've been alive, and that's more than a while. We've returned to the area from job related moves and were happy to come back here for a Sunday lunch. It's always been a beautiful spot and on this sunny day the view from the large windows surrounding the dining area was fantastic. The dining room is spacious and spotless. The place was very busy but the service was great and food came right out. Mrs. had a 1/2 beer battered fish sandwich on brioche with a cup of NE clam chowder. She was quite pleased. From my point of view her fish looked excellent sticking out from the roll. My deluxe fish sandwich came with fries and coleslaw and was of ample size to feed any sailor. Now here's the interesting part. I was not happy with the fish in my sandwich. It was a case where I thought should I say something or should I not? What made me decide to speak up is maybe no one knows about this. I don't expect the chef to taste everything that comes out. Maybe a supplier gave them a bad batch. Well, the manager came out first and asked if I wanted another sandwich made. Or one to take home. Or a desert on the house. Or something else. I said ok, just discount the sandwich would be ok. So next comes the owner, John. He apologized profusely and declared that customer satisfaction is what they live for. We talked about fish and he offered me all the things the manager did. Upon receiving the check we got a very nice surprise. I look forward to going back to visit with my new friend John. And I know what I'll be ordering. Beer battered cod sandwich platter with skin on fries!

I'm back to follow up on my first review after they first opened up back in July 2020. We've been here approximately 40 times since and it is because this place is absolutely amazing. Zach has the kitchen working on all cylinders. We are foodies who arrange vacations around the best restaurants and consider New Orleans and Vegas as two top notch food cities. The Fisherman would rank up in the Top 10 for each of those cities. Zach certainly has some culinary magic. Our most recent visit included some fantastic service from both Krystin R and Bethany. We couldn't be more pleased with their advice, professionalism and courtesy. How lucky are we to have such a gem in our area? I'd tell you what we had but it doesn't much really matter. Everything we've had has been scrumptious. Oyster Rockefeller, Lobster Madeira and Coquille St Jacques for the record.

The food was great place was too loud for me. The service was excellent other than when I ordered a bourbon l asked the server was it expensive and he said no. When I got my bill my single shots were 20.00 each!

Great food! Great service! Reasonable cost for what you are offered. Kristina at the bar is very good at her job! We will be back.

One of the best seafood restaurants in area. While lobster is great in all formats (bisque, roll, fancy dinner plate), their fish is also elevated - super fresh and prepared with impeccable skills. We tried the restaurant week tasting menu, which featured some new dishes. Everything was excellent. Servicer was warm and professional. Strongly recommend.

HAIR IN FOOD AND FOOD POISONING ALERT!! When we ate here the two appetizers we had were good. When my fiancée got her main course, it had a little wad of hair in it. They took it back and made her another, which came out fine. My main course didn't taste great but I just thought it wasn't for my palette and didn't bother to say anything (not their fault if I don't like something). For the next several hours it didn't sit well in my stomach. As I'm writing this I'm dealing with simultaneous vomiting and diarrhea. Perhaps the hair in the food was a warning that the food was dangerous!

Was so looking for to eating seafood, we thought the Fisherman Restaurant would provide that, we were wrong. The calamari was the worst we ever had, oily and soggy. We should have stop with that but no, we ordered lunch. Fish & fries & fish tacos. The fish tacos were good. The crust on the fish was separating and there was oil running off the fish in the plate. The fries were soft and soggy, not kidding.Never again
