Went there on a Monday Night. Had an amazing window table was great to look out over the green. Al our server was amazing attentive but not overbearing . Had zuppa de pease was amazing seafood was so fresh and tender. Started with the stuff figs (a must try) also had pork chop Sicilian pork chop was Hugh and cooked to perfection. And was a great plus to have 1/2 off bottle of wines. Finished our meal with the exotic Bamba , expresso and sambucca what an amazing finish. This has become our to go to place since moving to the area recent .

Oh my goodness was this place a wonderful find!!! The atmosphere was comfortably elegant with the light touch of holiday decorations. The food, yum so many homemade pasta 3 different versions of gnocchi ? and papardelle with the lobster ? the we skipped appetizers so we could ensure there was room for dessert. The tiramisu didn't last long enough for a proper picture.Definitely going back again and again for the rest of the menu *chef kiss*

Mediocre, pappardelle pasta with lobster in a cream sauce was house marinara with oregano no cream and 3 tiny pieces of lobster that was very fishy. Two others I was with had dishes with mashed potatoes that were out of the box which when we said it to the waiter, it fell on deaf ears, no answer is a answer. The Panne Cotta was very good. Rosso Vino for me, I tried here twice……so this was the reply I recieved,1 reviewa day agoResponse from the owner a day agoThank you so much . You must modified the dish to your liking because our pappardelle lobster comes in tomato cream sauce like a vodka. Sometimes it’s best to choose something without modification. We appreciate your honesty and say hello to Joe at Rosso best guy everI never modified the dish, it was suppose to come with a cream sauce, you never addressed 3 tiny pieces of lobster very fishy and mashed potatoes out of a box??? $400 later and you try to mislead customers by these remarks???

I liked it here a lot. Impeccable service and the food I had was delicious. A little pricey, but the portions were fair, the vibe was nice, I liked the decor. This a nice place to go for a special occasion.

Dining at Amarone in Guilford, CT was an absolute delight from start to finish. The impeccable service, delectable food, divine desserts, and outstanding liquor selection exceeded all expectations. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, we were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace, savoring every bite and moment. I highly recommend Amarone to anyone seeking an upscale Italian dining experience that is nothing short of perfection.

First, as newcomers, we respectfully asked to change our reservations from 6:30 to 7. Couldn't do because another table was due at 8. We arrive at 6:30....and our table wouldn't be ready until 7! We are then asked if we'd mind sitting at a high top in the bar instead of theclbdining room. We could see that the couple was still finishing dessert at our reserved 2 Top. The meal plummeted down from there. The watermelon, tomato salad gorgonzola was reduced to a plate of all watermelon, 1/2"slice of tomato and virtually no gorgonzola. Next....the stuffed artichoke was inedible. It was if someone had picked up Bouusin cheese from the grocery store and as an afterthought threw it on top of the over-cooked slices of artichokes. The entrees were inedible...no need to give this restaurant any acknowledgement.

We could not have had a better time. A friendly greeting followed by service that was wonderful. Attentive but not bothersome. It was just right. The food was the star of the day though. Fresh, well prepared, and attractively presented. We enjoyed the oysters, clams, veal, and fish dishes. Same room for dessert, the pistachio layer cake will melt in your mouth. Our first experience there, we'll be back.

Third and last time. The good: The staff were attentive and professional. Drinks were fine. The not so good: when you open the menu and find grease throughout the inner cover and pasta sauce on the menu pages, that says a lot about management. As for the food, the scallops barely had flavor and were drenched in butter. Similar experience with the branzino due to an eggy batter used to coat the fish. Early on, it was difficult to get a reservation on the weekend. This past weekend, the restaurant was 60% occupied. I think that says it all.
