“It's a very cute little spot with a surprisingly welcoming tavern vibe. They are a hearth and fireplace away from peak cozy pub atmosphere. They have a good, and often rotating selection of beers, and the food I have tried has been good, and what I saw on other people's tables looked good. Definitely quality snacking to keep you drinking! The bartender was exceptionally friendly, and while juggling the crowd still made time to chat with us about beers and breweries. I have only been by a few times now, but it always makes me want to visit more often.Parking: Large parking lot in a plaza.“
“Really unique and "true to the theme" prohibition style cocktail bar. Service is phenomenal, super friendly, and very attentive. The craft cocktail menu is unique and expansive. Pricing is pretty much on par for upscale drinks. Again, this place offers unique drinks that use ingredients not commonly found in other bars. Can't comment on food as we didn't get any. Did end up sharing a birthday dessert cake which was decent. Atmosphere is fitting, but it does get pretty loud and crowded. This place is a nice gem in the heart of Branford's Main St.“
“We had a fantastic night at Pearl Wine Bar! We have never been before and sat on their beautiful back patio -- top notch construction, with a full bar w large granite counter, several covered tables, high tops and low comfortable chairs, and heaters (although we sure didn't need them tonight!). We had drinks, bread with honey butter (yum), and shared the shrimp tacos (perfect seasoning) and the honey chicken (the fries were delicious). Our server Alicia was outstanding, and the bus person was great too. A great new location for us in Branford -- we'll be back.“
“Great tequila list! Wish we could have mixed/matched the tacos, but with a group, we were able to do that anyway. The salsa flight was delicious, but the spiciest could have been spicier. Bring it on!!! The tres leches was wonderful as it wasn't too sweet. The churros beignets were a little heavy and I was hoping for just churros, which I feel are generally lighter. But the rest of my party disagreed.“
“Been there a few times for dinner and the food was good. A bot overpriced for portions received, but I have not been there in a while. Outdoor seating is nice in the right weather. Inside is classy decor with what you would expect in an Italian restaurant. The staff were friendly and courteous.“
“Let me preface this by saying the service, wine, and tapas were exceptional. I'd come here purely for wine and appetizers. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the large windows really amplify how cozy it is during windows. Not gonna lie, makes a great dating aesthetic, it's unfortunate that the entree's disappointment. The appetizer we got was cheese fondue (tiger cheese which is a type of gruyere) with carrots and apples. It was delicious. Now the entree's, not great. I got the brisket and my wife got a lobster risotto. The brisket was dry with very little flavor and the risotto was overly salty and without balance. All in all, this would be a great place to come for appetizers and wine but not a meal.“
