Food was terrible, beef and broccoli was discolored, look old was hard and rubbery. Chicken wings were burnt and all you tasted was oil. Please change your oil. We spend all this money and can't even get decent food. I will keep cooking my own food.

I keep calling every weekend as they are right near where I stay and even though it says they should be open they are always closed on the weekends and fake advertising open online. The voicemail changes each weekend and says they will be open again on Monday.

I stopped by for a quick dinner. This is top notch for this type of cuisine. I got the Won Ton soup. The dumplings were fresh, plentiful, and well flavored. Then broth was super flavorful and contained pork strips. Amazing value!The noodle dish I ordered...well, I've only had a few bites as the soup was so filling, but I am so excited to eat more.I am new to the area and this place.may become my go to.

This place is I just ordered pork fried rice and chicken wings and scallops the rice had a chemical taste to it and the chicken was black and had a weird taste my order cost 17 dollars which was too much for how it tasted! It never was like this before this will be my last time the health department needs to pay a visit and figure out why their food has that nasty chemical taste to it! Keep food away from cleaning products is my suggestion!

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!! They are unsanitary, the staff digs their hands and spits in the customers food, they do not give refunds, and they’re all disrespectful and racist. They all need to get fired and this business must be shut down! ASAP!!
What can I say. The garden is the Meca of Connecticut Chinese food. The menu has a plethora of delicious options, whether it be rice or meats you simply cannot go wrong. The fact that other Chinese restaurants open in Hamden and think they can compete with the garden baffles me. Do yourself a favor and get into the garden.

I realize we all have to make a living. The girl at the front counter was so efficient. But this is a review on food. I'm very conscientious about what I ingest. And that being the case even so once in awhile I'd like to indulge. Which begins my review on China garden. I rather have a dirty homeless man tea bag me and waterboard me with his sweaty shirt then to eat here again. This is my review. I'm sorry I hope you laughed but this was an experience where on my first bite I asked myself what kind of animal am I eating here?

Got a very bad stomach ache after getting orange chicken, it was a late order idk how long the chicken is out for, I even saved some and tried it the next day and regretted it. I do have a sensitive stomach but if you do too, skip this place. Hate to say it because it tasted good but I can't go back.

I ordered from them last night. I thought it was the restaurant across from the Hamden High school. I should have canceled my order immediately.The shrimp dumplings were delicious. The wings were too.The egg foo young was inedible. I had to throw the first patty out. I saved the second patty as I was going to return it and ask them that they redo the order.I spent $57, so I thought that would be an easy ask.I called today to tell them of my experience; starting with how the food was good except the egg foo young which was burnt.She said "it is deep fried...so it is dark like that." I told her that I had been eating egg foo young for 40 years and this was burnt. I know what char and carbon tastes like. This was burnt beyond being edible."Well, we have been selling it for years and never had a complaint", she said rudely.I told her "well, I'm telling you that it was burnt and I will bring it back and would like another one."She made it plain that wouldn't be happening.I made it plain I would leave this review and that she lost my business forever. Not because the food was burnt. Anyone can make a mistake.She lost my business because of her attitude. For the price of less than $1, she could have made $50+ a week from me.Serves me right for trying something besides my usual even if it was by mistake.
