Working close by I have gone here for years, typically the sushi is average, but convenient...Today was the last day I will be there as I was given a gift card with a certain total, he then tried to tell me it was for a lower amount because he gave the purchaser the tax back which was a lie (verified to be untrue)...He is dishonest and threatened to charge me more next time I was in because I complained that he could not add tax on top of a giftcard (Not an activation fee), and that I caught him in his lie about returning the money (stealing)....Anyways not worth going back, there are more options with higher quality people. The owner is not a man of honor.

stopped in last night for the first time to get some sushi to go. I thought the prices were fair and I placed my order. The siddha was made quick. Just not sure why he used a microwave. Here is a picture of the sushi. It was tasty

The sweetest owners! I legit go here when I'm having a bad day just for them to cheer me up. I've tried a few of the newer sushi places in the same area and you can notice the difference in the skill and care they put into the rolls. Sushi Grandpa loves us and puts his heart into that roll!

The chef was so friendly and inviting. The food was delicious and a great price, on the menu. When charged, I was charged about $3 more than I should have, but I was going to give that as a tip anyway. I will go back again, but I will make sure of the prices before ordering. The food was so good and quick!

The nicest people ever. Really. Everytime I visit, they are so nice and not to mention the good prices. The sushi is always great quality. Tonight, I locked my keys in my car after I ordered from there and they let me charge my phone and stay in the until my gf came with a spare. What nice people for letting me stay in there. This is the only sushi place I will ever go to as long as I live around here. 10/10

I lived in Hamden for over 2 years before trying this little place on Whitney Avenue. My dad was visiting from out of town and was craving Japanese food to go. We stopped in and put in an order...sushi for me (spicy tuna and Philadelphia roll) and bento box and udon soup for him. We were amazed at how fresh and delicious everything was!! I have been back at least three or four times since (in two months!). we have seen only two employees there the times we have gone, they are very efficient and nice. Definitely give it a try!
