The guy at the register was rushing us to put in our order. Even though the chicken was fresh and hot. The chicken was really dry. He still got our order wrong. This place is at a gas station which is a little sketchy I wouldn't suggest going at night if you're not from the area.

I wanted to try the chicken in this location since I had been told it was good. I guess I got there on a bad day. It was about noon on a Saturday. Lunch time. The counter had cases of soda on it. It was disorganized and felt dirty.I ordered 6 pieces of chicken, 3 thighs, 3 breasts. When I got home to eat my food. It was clear they were old. Very hard with barely any meat. I will never go back.

I used to come here 10 years ago and I love their food and how late they are open. I didnt catch the name of the person who served me, but I can tell you he did an excellent job making sure the food was fresh, presentable, and came out fast. I order the chicken over rice for me and my gf, and it was so good we had it again the next night. I would recommend their fried chicken but for me i will always order the chicken over rice.The only bad thing I can mention is the loiterers outside asking for change and money as they can be agressive when you don’t give. Overall would recommend Chicken City to anyone.

This is a 24 hour gas station that is located in the center of the city of Hartford. If you go to this place later in the night, you will probably encounter some individuals hanging around out front of the store next to entrance asking for change. It’s not out of the ordinary for this city. It is called chicken city because of the fried chicken they serve inside. The food is ok for the 3 o clock in the a.m. However, it its not gourmet by any means.

The location is what it is BUT if you happen to be out a little late and need a few pieces of fried chicken, it works just fine! The fries taste like chicken in the oil though so they really ought to change the oil and have separate fryers.
