As close as you can get to Dominican Republic. Delicious food but wished the portions were as big as they are in Dominican Republic lol. I recommended their rice and beans and breakfast options. I always say I will take a picture but forget each time. The aroma food smell capture me every time.

Best food ever and great prices! I go there once a week and everyone who works there hangs in with me as I don't speak Spanish. Cannot say enough about El Bohio. I order empanadas, san chocho and chicken soup, beef with rice and beans, tres leches cake and flan. Cannot say enough about this amazing "diamond in the rough" in Fitchburg. The customers are great as well as they sometimes help me order as my spanish is horrible! I highly recommend it!

This is a small restaurant in downtown Fitchburg. They have great reviews so we tried them out while in the area. There's some seating, but most folks were taking their food to go. Service was great, lovely, friendly ladies are working the front. Portions are big, price is a steal compared to Boston. There's plenty of variety and I was surprised to see they had sancocho on a Wednesday. Food is good, not outstanding. Overall, I would recommend giving them try.

It is rare that I give a place 5 stars. This little hole-in-the-wall is amazing. There wasn't anyone on the street in what appeared to be a desolate part of town. But... this spot was packed. The food is traditional Dominican fare but done extremely well. The price is really good for the large portion size. The ladies working here while very busy and kind and attentive. Speaking Spanish is a help here but not necessary.

For what it is, it's great. Take out Spanish food. Tender pernil. Savory sancocho. Hits the spot when you're in the mood for it.

This place was a good place to have a good time before but from time to time it seems bad it's always a fight a rebulu the owner of the business has no control to run a business like that. They take alcoholic beverages out of business and there are always clientele preferencesThe security guard they have now does not do his job wellThere was one of them who was a sweetheart, he checked out everyone who came in, he was a friendly, sociable boy who did his job perfectly, if I'm not mistaken, I think he is the son of the current owner, but the other security they have had have not been suitable for working in that shame on you businessNow in that place the fights turn into fights, stabbings and many other things. My experience has not been very good in that place. I do not return more and more when the owner, instead of protecting her clients and her business, is the first one who is involved in everything. the rebuluses that appear out of business for me and this place is not safe for anyone.

Been going there for almost 2 decades now. EL Bohio is Hands down the best Hispanic food anywhere around in my opinion. I've tried every single place I could from Fitchburg MA to Queens NY and still try new places but none compare to El Bohio, I consider myself lucky to live close to EL Bohio! I think these guys are perfect. El Bohio has been around forever and for a real good reason they are the BEST! If you like Hispanic food you must visit "EL Bohio" you will see what I mean.

I love this place! When I moved to the area I was looking for Hispanic restaurants in the area and a coworker happen to bring me here. The ladies here are always so nice. My go to items on the menu are the bistec guisado and moro de habichuelas with plátanos maduros. But I'm sure just about anything they make is good. Prices are reasonable.
