We stopped here on a Saturday night for dinner on the last leg of our trek from Virginia to Boston. This restaurant did not disappoint. The bar section was full of locals, while the dining room was quiet and quaint. The staff are super nice. The food…omg the food was delicious! If I’m ever in Hartford again, I’ll be going to O Camelo again.

A very good place, especially for the price! Great food, lots of seafood options, staff is very friendly and helpful, big portions. One thing to be aware of: these dishes have A LOT of garlic. Humble taverna with straight up good food and friendly service at extraordinarily reasonable prices. This place is a flashback to the days when you could go to your local tavern for a hearty meal and a neighborhood feel. I had a super good meal of spinach soup and beans transmomtana, consisting of succulent pork, beans potatoes, cabbage and se chorizo with a side of rice. Excellent...and enough for two.
