Last night, my friends and I decided to check out Red Rock Tavern, and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere was buzzing with energy as soon as we walked in, with the sound of live music filling the air. We grabbed a table near the stage and ordered some drinks to start – the bartender whipped up the perfect cocktails, and we were off to a great start.

Consider this review to be more of a 3.5 than a 3. Only reason it isn't 4 stars is because I think the interior could use some love. Thankfully everything else makes up for how it looks though. Walking in you immediately get that local tavern feel; like everyone knows each others name. Not the kind of place I would normally go but the happy hour prices were too enticing. Heaping pile of "nachos" with an amazing house made thousand island for only $6? Yes please. Mini pitchers of beer that give you at least 2.5 glasses full for only $6-$7?? How can I refuse. Service was great. Everyone was very attentive when they weren't busy chatting and hanging out with the regulars. Not saying it like it's a bad thing - you can tell people visit this place often. And I can't blame them! I wouldn't necessarily bring my wife here but it's a great place to grab some food and beer before going out or maybe a good place to visit at the end of your night. There's street parking available but if you see the gates open in the lot diagonal to the tavern you can park very easily for free there and it's a close walk across the street to get back. Recommend coming here for happy hour w the guys, I know I'll be back!

I had my rehearsal dinner there.. buffet style... I was running late and wanted to set up my flowers... they immediately recognized I was running late, took my centerpieces and said "go" I will set up... needless to say, when my guests arrived they were blown away... the tables were set with linens, even accented with black (colors of my wedding) and the florals were exactly where I wanted them... they were extremely welcoming .. the food.... PHENOMENAL!! Penne a la vodka is seasoned to perfection... green beans!! Fresh and roasted to absolute deliciousness... then the chicken parm!!! My guests were raving about it... Ceaser salad and home made dressing was fantastic... such fresh, well seasoned food and a fantastic welcoming atmosphere.... Also big shout out to Chelsey (hope I spelled it correctly) the owner even comped us on the beverages... they went above and beyond and we enjoyed every minute... from the bar staff, to the wait staff to the owners.. to the food!! All top notch.. highly Recommend.... I wish I lived closer, I'd be there every other day.... Thank you again for a wonderful day.... Ps!! My son is autistic with a food aversion, when I asked for a small bowl of Mac and cheese they were more than accommodating with his request... hands down excellent service.

The food was pretty good. We ordered the appetizer sampler and a special — flank steak caesar salad. The sampler was very good! The caesar was okay; we found it an odd choice to put it in a taco shell bowl and still include croutons. It came with a big portion of steak, but it was a bit overdone. We went on a Friday night and since it seems to turn into a dancing/night out spot, the tables were removed around us as we were still waiting for our food. We’ll be back but sticking to the more typical bar food.Parking: Parking lot across the street is open after hours

Had to leave a comment just for the chicken cesser cutlet panini *drools* the flavor is so good! I feel like I'm eating a salad on a big crunchy-on-the-edges crouton. It's just a special for now but i say we all demand it be added to the menu!! lol jk love to the red rock team.
Food was good but the drinks were way too strong, almost undrinkable. There was also a small dog inside the establishment that was not a service which made us very uncomfortable. There were spills all over the floor as well that had not been cleaned up the entire time we were there.

I was just visiting Connecticut and this was a place a lot of locals seem to visit! The bartender was nice, the drinks were nice and not watered down, the finger food selection were ok as well... its a place where you go with your friends/family after a long day and have some good drinks! I'll revisit if I ever visit Hartford again!

I went to red rock tavern last night. I got to interact with some of the staff, Sue and Carmen were very friendly & attentive at the bar. The food & the service was AMAZING. Great vibes & delicious food. I will definitely be coming back.

So I returned to the Red Rock last night with my father, son and 2 of my son's friends. I met Don, the owner and his daughter, both of whom were great. The pride they took in what they were doing and care they showed to their patrons were a pleasure to experience. We got a bunch of different menu items and everything was perfect. The preparation, flavor and presentation showed care and pride. We were fortunate to have Ed serve us again. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how great Ed is. He's funny, professional and attentive. Ed has been at Red Rock nearly every time I have been there and he is always a pleasure to see. The vibe is happy, with cool music and lots of laughter. It's a very diverse and eclectic crowd, with everyone mixing well and being respectful of each other. It's a great place to be and impossible to not smile as you dig the vibe. But as I have said previously, don't take my word for it, I am Just some guy on yelp. Go for yourself. You won't regret it.
