Our favorite cafe for when we are visiting CT. The staff is amazing and the place is community-driven. You can get your fancy latte or you can get a classic Bustelo cafecito. They make sure to include everyone on the menu. Excellent coffee, great food, and overall wonderful space.
Every single time my boyfriend and I go to this cafe we leave with such big smiles on our faces! I’m not from around here, so it’s definitely an additional treat for when I come to visit him during the week. The people running the show are always very pleasant and sweet to speak to, and it’s such an interesting and knowledgeable place to sit and enjoy tasty drinks and foods. I came across Semilla cafe this past weekend after a yoga session in Hartford and I’m very glad I did. I snagged a hot Ovaltine with oat milk which was a really nice malted hot chocolate flavor, plus a lemon bar that was very good. While all that is enough to go back I also found a gem in their store side of things where they had a bacon jam.
