I had the oxtails, goat and pork shoulder and authentic PR rice. All excellent. In addition I had the Dominican soup which was so tasty and delicious. Don't order online just come in person and get your choices I find best for takeout places. The staff is awesome.

Had the beef and cheese empanada and beef stew and ate them both so fast I forgot to take a picture. The rice and beans that come with the stew were perfect and they also include a salad! I will make this one of my top picks for Spanish food when I have a hankering. Thank you Tico's!

Came here with my PR boss/friend for some authentic PR food. This place did not disappoint. My spanish is terrible but I had the PR rice and steak with pickled onions and plantain maduros. My friend had similar but white rice and beans. We also had some fried things, one was potato and beef and the other was something made with plantains. Also tried the roasted pork mofungo. The passion fruit juice was awesome as well. Overall this place had great service(for my friend). This would be a bit harder to order here without knowing Spanish/having someone with you who knows what everything is. Thanks everyone!

I ordered my food online. I went there on my lunch break stood up for the entire time, waiting for the food only to be told that the food wasn’t being prepared and they just had me there standing the whole time without any explanation that the food was delayed. I was then offered some dried up chicken that was already there and prepared from earlier. Ruined my entire lunch will never go back. Disgusting

Ticos is arguably the best Puerto Rican restaurant in Hartford. DEFINITELY my favorite! The food is always amazing, try the pork & plantain pinchos. Over the past 8 years I've been a satisfied customer of there's. The staff has changed but the owner is the sweetest lady & her dedication to a clean restaurant & top quality food is more than admirable. I tried the blood sausage once, a dish I wouldn't try if I didn't trust the restaurant. I was surprised by how good it was. Don't forget dessert! Their oreo cake is LEGENDARY. They have an excellent parking lot too, not always easy to find parking in Hartford.Parking: They have a huge lot that's easy to find on the left of the building if you're facing it. There's even a good fence around it so no one passes through it, just people parking for the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: They have two ramps into the front & back door of the restaurant

I tried Tico's catered food recently. I really enjoyed their classic Latin Caribbean food - arroz con gandules, Pernil, fried chicken, potato salad and flan! Great catered spread! I am now interested in dining in soon.
