You have to try V's Trattoria! The food is absolutely ambrosial. One of our favorite dishes is the Eggpant Parmigiana especially because it is not covered in mozzerela cheese. There are many other delicious choices as our guests enjoyed the Pasta al Roberto (with chicken) and the Grand Marnier Salmon. We also liked that V's drink menu included some local craft beer choices. Our server was very attentive and accomodating. We also appreciate and felt comfortable dining in a space that had a modern yet not formal feel. Seating is socially distanced so the four of us felt very safe. All in all, a very memorable evening out in the great city of Hartford.

We had a very early reservation due to time constraints. When we arrived we were the only seated table in the restaurant which worked out wonderfully. We were able to chat personally with Vito and Andrew, how fun! He did not lie, his meatball appetizer was amazing. We then moved on to his special cocoa infused pasta with bolognese, so different and delicious! All four of us agreed it was terrific. The bartender worked with us and the drinks were great. The bread pudding was more like a muffin and good. Not the best, but good. Could have used a bourbon sauce. But all in all it was a great dining experience and I only wish we lived closer so we could go more often. Hartford is a business city and with fewer people working downtown and traveling, we must support local places like this from going under...it's worth the drive!

The bartender was incredible. She is friendly, knowledgeable and talented. The ambiance is laid back and the food is very good. The drinks are great and the beer selection is very good.

Friday, 9/25/20. We had Eggplant Parmigiana and a Tuscan Panzanella Salad. Both were ambrosial and the portions were prodigious. You will end up bringing food home unless you opt to split a meal. Appreciated that V's served local craft beer. We enjoyed the craft draft beer from Alvarium Brewery located in New Britain. The waitstaff were very helpful in answering all our questions and the food was delivered with all the modifications requested. We plan to return soon.

Best food and service around. Chef Rob and his staff make the best meal and experience you will have around the area. The ambience cannot be beat at V's. You will truly feel welcome here.

This was our first in-house dining experience since restrictions were lifted. Staff adhered to protocols of masks, gloves, etc. The outdoor dining space was well organized and left plenty of room between tables. Food was still delicious - so glad to see the regular menu offered. Haven't been disappointed yet!

Good offerings on the food and beverage menus. We started with the antipasto for four. Great selection of meats, cheeses, etc. we'll get that again. Very good entrees. I ordered the chocolate pasta. I was skeptical but thankfully I listened to our server's recommendation. Chocolate color, not flavor. Instead, it was more of a rich flavored pasta. I really enjoyed it and will order it again. The staff was very good and the chef came out to check on us. We'll be back!!

I absolutely recommend this restaurant! The food here was, for the most part, delicious. My wife had shirmp scampi, and I had the Bolognese. Both were cooked perfectly, although I found my noodles to be a bit too al dente. That's more a matter of personal preference, but make sure you speak up if you want your pasta a little softer. The portions were hefty but not excessive. We also had a calamari appetizer but this was not nearly as impressive as the pasta. Service was great. The bartender makes an awesome Manhattan. My only major issue was that the seats near the windows had a lot of cold air coming into them. Wear a sweater just in case.

Roasted artichokes were wonderful. Less satisfied with eggplant parmigiana, sauce was very good but it felt like a ‘deconstructed' version. Other entree was a seafood fra diavolo, again sauce was wonderful and seafood beautifully cooked.

First visit here and we will return. Steps from the XL Center. Service and food were excellent. We were attending an event at the XL Center after (as were many other diners) and given the busyness of the place I was very impressed.

Food and service were very good. We had the shrimp scampi special and the salmon. Desserts were very good as well. Nice beer/wine/cocktail selections. The restaurant was packed due to a UCONN game night. We were seated in the back corner behind the bar. This area is a bit dark and lacks the ambiance of the main dining area. Hopefully, we get seated out front next time around. All in all still a good experience.

We had a nice meal before a show at the civic center. We were a bit rushed out because of an incoming private party, but we knew that in advance thanks to 3 calls from Logan. We liked the half price wine bottles on Wednesdays.

Food was like warm and cold before finished. Disappointed. I always felt they were over priced, but good location near Hartford Stage, but I think after visiting on multiple occasions and the food being cold, now i felt it was a plain rip off. $170 INC Tip for 3 with wine and 2 cocktails and pasta entrees at $26 each.

The food was fantastic but the service was just ok. We had one waiter and then he kept switching off with another waitress and at one point it looked like he was bartending. It made it very confusing not having one dedicated waitstaff for our table, that being said they were both very nice and did a good job. Other then that we had a great time!
