Anthony the owner and chef is a god send. I’m visiting from out of town and couldn’t find a place to eat as a vegan with all my food allergies. He responded to my email quickly, and stayed a good half hour past close to cook me food and warm up what was left, I pulled up a stool to the counter just to chat with him and eat. And let me tell you, the food was amazing, like a fresh home cooked meal. Amazing flavor and seasoned so well, the buffalo tempeh was amazing and the greens, the lentil soup?? Oh man. I’ll dream of this place, it was like finding an oasis after walking a hot desert for miles. Anthony himself was so friendly and kind and my heart really needed that kindness today. Anthony if you read this I just want to say thank you again. You have no idea how much you lifted my spirits today. LOVED IT! I have been slowly going more plant based over the last few years. One thing I could never eat was sweet potatoes- until I tried Zoju's. Anthony gave me one to try and I loved it!!! Also had and loved the buffalo tempeh which I had never tried before. Paired with the Jasmine rice and spinach made the meal complete! Was wonderful to see his passion for healthy food! You could hear it in his voice and see it in his face! So happy I finally had the opportunity to get over there. Come support and try the food- you will NOT be disappointed!

The music selection consisted of nice, soothing music. The menu had a great selection of vegan meals and appetizers to choose from. I ordered the breakfast burrito and was delighted by the tantalizing flavors! I ended up going back for lunch on my last day in town and ordered the vegan meatloaf which was paired with rice. Both times I left extremely satisfied with my choices! The food is not only nutritious but hearty as well! Anthony catered Portland's Juneteenth event last year (2023). He literally saved us at the very last minute, as our main food vendor had to cancel a few days prior, and another didn't show up. It was also Anthony's birthday and he still jumped through multiple hoops to be at our event, and was so kind and patient working with us throughout the very stressful process of figuring everything out last minute, not to mention in the rain. He cooked burgers with a special red sauce, and I am very much looking forward to visiting the restaurant to taste more items on his menu!
