Very cute local restaurant. The food has gone downhill though unfortunately. And as with most restaurants you’re prompted for a tip even at pick up. Last salad I ordered was horrible and the rip n dip pretzel was hard as a rock. Pasta is only made on Wednesday but who really goes out to eat on a Wednesday?

Pleasant surprise in the neighborhood! My wife and I went for dinner on a whim and we had a great meal. The atmosphere is aptly themed; Thomas Edison stares down at you no matter where you may be eating or drinking, but it's not overwhelming or overstated. A good fit. But the FOOD ... Wow! That's where I was surprised! I had the pretzel crusted chicken, and it was amazing. I can't wait to stop back in for brunch or to try something new.

One of my absolute favorite local restaurant / bars. Erica and Seth are top notch at customer service and their respective roles. The bar and specials menu is always interesting, and as the one restaurant with a full bar in Harwinton I can’t recommend Edison Grill enough!Parking: Dozens of parking spots in the private lotKid-friendliness: Has a great kids menu and friendly atmosphere

The Edison Grill. An Edison namesake branded lunch and dinner spot in Harwington. From the logo to the rug to the signage, it commits to the theme. When you walk in, you are delighted with Red/Black decor and various "vintage" looking signage across the restaurant. The pickup window (maybe added during COVID) is cleverly placed in the waiting room/entrance, where you can also sit to wait for seating. This place gives you an experience visually. So how does the food stack up? Great, actually. I got the BBQ Brisket from the Handhelds section, and my wife ordered the wings from the Starters. Both were delicious. The BBQ brisket comes on a Ciabatta Roll with a pickle and a choice of side. I chose the SLAW! But what a slaw it was. The slaw that I got was oddly sweet, not at all what I was expecting, but ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant surprise indeed. I came, I slaw, I conquered. That's how it goes, right? We also ordered the POT-CHOS off the menu. Yes, kettle baked potato chips topped with Nacho ingredients. Jalapeños on the side for the Mrs. So what's the verdict? Good. Not great. Could have been more cheese. It had bagged lettuce sprinkled on it but would have preferred shredded for easier nacho pickup. And although it says it on the menu (I know), the beer cheese/nacho cheese didn't work for me personally. It gave me ballpark vibes. Yes, to each is own. The two hits and the one miss on the food would of still giving me almost 5 star vibes here as I dig the themed restaurants. I have to imagine that some of the other menu items that I almost chose were easy answers for a 2nd visit (if I'm in the area). I'm giving a slight knock to the rating instead because we were charged for a raspberry ice tea refill after confirming that it was free refills and bringing me the refill before realizing they were mistaken. We all make mistakes, and besides that the service was great. And I'm sure next time the visit will be great and the cool/unique Edison's Grill will sway me to a 5. I would recommend this to anyone on their way through Harwington. It's a great lunch spot and the rest of the menu looks great. I'm sure next time I'm in it will sway me over to a 5.

A few days ago my wife and I decided to stop into Edison Grill just to get something to eat, which turned out to be a dining experience. I had the mussels appetizer which was excellent, with a thick nicely seasoned flavorable tomato sauce, even the toast points were nicely seasoned and delicious. Bavarian pretzel-encrusted chicken with a cranberry honey mustard sauce. My wife had cauliflower risotto with cremini mushrooms and perfectly cooked chicken breast. Then we topped it off with coconut cake. No words to describe how delicious everything was. Our server did a nice job. Thank you Edison Grill for a great dinner.

Always good. Ughhh I love their tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. I always forget it is Thomas Edison themed and am delightfully surprised each time I go! It's cute

Nice fun place to eat that's away from town. Nicely decorated. Wish I could remember the one server's name that always makes it a great visit, she's been there for years and goes out of her way to check on us even when we're not in her section. She definitely makes Edison's and experience and worth going even when the food is not up to expectations. Their specials and unique entries have been delicious and tend to be more flavoring than their typical American food on the menu, tho items have been a little bland the last few times we've eaten there. Sunday brunch is great with their flights.

It’s too bad. The food is great but we were rushed right on out of here! Appetizers came out and in seconds the meal came out there was no room on the table the food runners could have cared less that we had no where to put food. Then we were clearly eating our food and waitress comes and asks if she can get us a to go box. I just felt completely rushed and it wasn’t cause more people were waiting to get in it was 8:15 at night!

Stopped in for some lunch on a half day of work. Enjoyed a steak and cheese with fries. Had a proper old fashioned drink, one of the best I’ve had out in a long time. Staff was friendly and attentive, food was very tasty.

I was in the area for an event. Stopped in for a light bite and a cocktail. Edison answered the call! Seemed like a mix of locals and people like me...which is a good sign! Good beer selection and cocktail list. Chili was good...pot chos were excellent! It was busy...service was slower which is to be expected. The waitress and bartender were awesome and doing their best.
