We arrived to find the restaurant closed. The sign on the door said they were closed for sanitation and would open on 8/15. Our reservation was for 8815. So if this place is any good, I will never now.

Slow, slow service. We sat there for about 15mins before anyone came to the table and the place was not busy at all. Food was just ok. Won't go back-too many other good Mexican restaurants.

One of my most horrible experiences. We had chicken shawarma & falafel. Trust me, we had the worst falafel ever. Everything was over-cooked. Chicken had burnt & hard!

Food was really good, nice atmosphere. The only complaint I would have is the slow service but if you are not really in a rush it is not that bad.

The food is awesome; it's really authentic and the portions are huge for the price. They offer a wide variety of different Mediterranean dishes as well as drinks. The only reason that the Mediterranean Grill loses a star, is because of the slow service.

Note it's not quite a restaurant, more like a fast casual cafe. Tried a few shawarmas (AKA kebabs) the taste was quite balanced. The service (young friendly girl) was also great. I would say it's the best eatery in that mall.

I really want to rate Mediterranean Grill higher, but our experience there wasn't great. The restaurant is located in the Buckland Hills Mall. It is not in the food court, but a stand alone restaurant. The interior and ambience was well done. It has a clean look with tons of space, a TV, and outdoor seating. The menu offers a mix of halal Mediterranean options (sandwiches and rice platters), grinders, burgers, and fresh juices. We ordered a lamb gyro sandwich, chicken shawarma sandwich, a grinder, and a side of the gyro. Now, they don't have a kid's menu, so I asked for a side of the lamb gyro assuming they could slice a few pieces for a child. They did, but still charged us the full price, which I thought was strange. When we asked for a side of bread, they ended up charging us an additional $1.50 for two half pieces of gyro bread! The whole pricing of the menu felt ridiculous. I've been to my fair share of Mediterranean restaurants, and I could understand charging higher prices if this was a Mediterranean restaurant in West Hartford or New Haven, but it's in a mall. In another frustrating sequence, when I ordered the grinder, I asked if I could make half of it a turkey and the other half a pastrami. The server said it shouldn't be a problem and made no mention of any additional fees, but again upon receiving the check they said there was an additional $1.50 fee for ordering two different kinds. Why didn't they mention this upfront or make this clear? They also put little to no meat in the grinders, so I ended up paying $10 for close to stale bread with mainly lettuce and tomato. To be fair, though, the chicken shawarma sandwich was excellent in terms of taste. Definitely on the smaller side portion-wise, so for $7 it wasn't really worth it, but still delicious. The gyro was average and pretty standard. Ultimately, though, it really felt like they were trying to squeeze us for every penny. It left a bad taste in our mouth and made us confident in not returning.

First time eating here and it was excellent. Food was good and fresh and our server (Rachael) was very attentive and did a good job even thought the place was very busy. We had mango and strawberry lemonade smoothies, the sampler platter, swarma bowls and garlic fries.
