2.26.23 My 1st time here and only 3rd time eating Indian food. Friend organized today's lunch outing to try "authentic" South Indian food, which meant eating with your hands (forks optional). You use your right hand to mix the meats and rice and seasonings together. Choices were vegan or 3 meats and all sorts of sides and desserts. I loved it all. The chicken was spicy, but just enough of a kick. The lamb was tender. The traditional brown rice was amazing. The staff was genuinely nice, polite, and courteous. Overall, this was an incredible and delicious experience.

Great authentic southern Indian experience. Went with a group of 20. We were served a taste of several things. Would recommend if you’re looking for an authentic experience. Forks/spoons optional.

This has been our favorite ❤️ destination for the last 4 years. The food quality always have been consistent and we felt the value for the ? money. As this is an hour away from our place, so our frequency of visit and ordering has been limited. However, whenever we are in the area, this would be our favorite destination for dine in or take out.Our favorites are South Indian delicacies. Even the tea and coffee ☕️ is very good.If you get a chance get some food ? fromKumar’s!

This is the third time in a row of bad experience at this place. First time it was bad, second time, it was worse. Thought of giving a 3rd chance, and it was horrible.

Very, very disappointing!!! We have ordered several times from this restaurant but over the course of the past year, they have declined in their customer service and so has the quality of the food. We ordered pepper chicken masala, Chennai chilli chicken and mutton perrattal and the chicken looked and tasted like a bad a korma and very runny with no masala. The mutton perrattal did not taste anything like it used to either. Very dry and stale. The Chennai chilli chicken used to be deep fried in some batter but turns out it's made differently made now with no batter but in comparison to the pepper chicken, had more masala so was ok. For the amount of money you charge, you expect something decent in return. You have definitely lost my business!!!

What an amazing experience along with great flavors from south india, in manchester ct. the menu could use pictures to help identify what each meal is but the staff was super helpful and patient with identifying what to order. Dragon chicken was Buffalo tenders on steroids along with every other plate we had. They have a robot that delivers the food from the kitchen to table which was entertaining to experience. If you enjoy spice and taste of India, Kumar's is a Must try, won't disappoint.

Went there nearly their closing time of the restaurant. But the staff didn’t hesitate to serve and we got everything we ordered. Baby corn was bit rubbery. Mutton Briyani, Kothu Parotta and Nattukzozhi tasted good. Overall a good experience

Went to CT and all my friends recommended Kumar's . Thought of giving it a try .. I was actually disappointed overall .. The restaurant interiors was very good and lots of table / space to sit . They also had a bar with lager beers . Service was toooooo slow , even with only 2-3 customers . Everyone goes in to the kitchen and never come out ... it took 15 mins for the beer to arrive and another 15 mins for the food . Chilly chicken was good .. crispy and tasty ... dosa was a disaster . Chutneys tasted so average and sambar had less salt . Kal dosa with chicken curry was also average . There was so less curry that it was over within half dosa and they won't refill it ! Disappointed overall. May be I'll try biryani and other items next time . It was very expensive too !

Heavily disappointed and absolutely mad. How is the dish shared in the picture a onion uttapam ??? This is at best a oversized set dosa. I do expect a South Indian restaurant to know their uttapam :/The vada smells like it was fried in the same oil as chicken or some meat. Being a vegetarian, I had to dump the entire thing.

They don't care for customers coming from afar taking a break at their restaurant stopping for coffee. Avoid this place.

Ordered the non veg thali which is specific dine in on weekends. Goat curry was flavorful and apart from that nothing big special on thali given curries! Wished they given flavored rice have with than the just plain rice. Mango lassi was delicious than the mint drink! Place was clean and staff was attentive!

Kumar’s is a must visit South Indian restaurant in Manchester Connecticut! We were lucky to be on a weekend to order the Unlimited Non Veg Thali! It is a huge combo of all non veg gravy and sides with rice! We also ordered Nethili fry and Nandu boneless fry which were awesome! All the gravies were good. The chicken starter along with the thali was little sweet that didn’t match. Overall a tummy full lunch. Ambience was good!

Overall: Authentic Food, if you can get the servers to come by your table. Also bring cash for a discount on your check. Don't skip the biryani.

I understood I was a patient person when I made light of the situation where they put salt (heaps of) in watermelon juice instead of sugar. The server was able to remake and replace it. Overall this place did not meet expectations at all. I went in May of this year and they were understaffed with 1 person handling almost all the tables. Only reason I gave this 2 stars was because the meen kuzhambu was decent. The ordering part was easy since it was all online through an app. But we had to call them multiple times for additional items like cutlery and water!
