It is by UConn. Food was average. That blue drink was not great at all. Not in the area often but wouldn't go again. Long menus scare me for the overall quality.

Clean welcoming atmosphere. Went in for a late lunch with our kids (3, 8 & 13). There was something for everyone! HUGE boneless chicken "wings". Good fries. Great portions. 3yo had the kids burger which came out as 2 sliders (he loved it) husband had the pulled pork quesadilla & I had a chicken Caesar wrap. The waffles fries were great Staff was friendly and service was good.

We are in town visiting my son at UCONN and we decided to give Red Rock Cafe a go. I must say the place was pretty busy. The staff is extremely is extremely pleasant, everyone we came in contact with. However as soon as you walk in, I did not get the greatest impression of the restaurant itself, excluding staff, restaraunt itself didn’t give off clean vibes. But the boys wanted to try it so we continued on. The menu is very big and so much to choose from that you get a bit overwhelmed. I opted to have the chicken wings, they had 64+ flavors to choose from. I had the mango pineapple. It was good. The wings were juicy, tender, and you could taste the mango pineapple a little bit, and I’m content that they were not drowned in the sauce. My husband had a bacon burger without lettuce, tomato, onion and came out perfectly. The waffle fries are a bit greasy but no worries none were left at the end of the meal?. My son had the same bacon burger but with all the finishes and he enjoyed his as well. The sodas though … I had a ginger ale- disgusting! My husband and son both ordered cokes and each one tasted differently so we sent one back and now it tasted ok - the weirdest thing ever since it’s out of the same machine / not sure if it’s from dirty cups or what ! We opted to skip dessert

Don’t pay extra money for anything or they will just find a way to steal your money from you! And if you dare be upset about your order Assistant Manager Shawna will give you an attitude for being upset about them stealing your

Went for dinner. Food was inedible. Ordered the Chicken special. Salad was terrible, vegetable medley was not cooked and tasteless and there was So much sodium in the food you just couldn’t swallow it. Not like they just added a bit too much salt to the meal, but like someone literally dumped the salt shaker on your plate. Had to drink 3 glasses of water to try and get past it. I talked to the manager after receiving the bill and said we should not have to pay $51 for food we couldn’t eat. Offered us a $5 discount off our bill because they had fixed the mistake with the salt and gave us chicken to take home which I honestly would be too scared to eat. Absolutely insulting…. Horrible experience and will never go there again!

I visited Red Rock Cafe on a Saturday evening and it was pretty empty because there was a basketball game going on. Despite this, we were seated next to the kitchen and counter where servers picked up the meals to be served. Our service was pretty quick, but the food was only okay. My pasta had too much salt, and the Buffalo chicken soup was absolutely disgusting and tasted like ketchup. The worst part of my dining experience was the atmosphere of my surroundings; the floor was dirty, and staff was sitting at tables right next to us sorting cutlery and talking loudly about their personal drama. I felt awkward having conversations with my dining partner and commenting on the food with the servers right next to me. When our food arrived at the counter, another server went to go pick up the food and our server yelled over to her, "she got the pasta and he got the burger", which felt highly unprofessional.

Outrageously expensive for food offerings and what they cost to make. I guess the owner is banking on UConn kids using their parents' credit cards. Good wing and beer selection though. Atmosphere is okay, a little small. Usually a game on the tube over the bar.

My family & I recently went here over the weekend traveling from NJ. Well, it was very intriguing because they have tons of flavors of wings BUT THE WINGS WERE RAW, I AM TALKING BLOODY RAW. We sent the wings back of course & ordered boneless wings instead, you would think they would put the boneless wings on the house but nope we still were charged for them.

We went to a UConn game and because of location and convenience we chose Red Rock specifically because of their extensive wing selection. We ordered calamari and it was definitely mediocre. We ordered a decent size portion of wings, extra crispy. They came out NOT crispy and not very flavorful. Our friends got the boneless wings, which I would recommend those over the bone in wings. Everything was just mediocre. They charged 1.50 per cup of ranch/blue cheese and the cups were SMALL, not even enough for the regular order. I would say a less than average experience but maybe we tried the wrong menu items. Our bill was close to 100 dollars for 2 people and that’s without alcoholic drinks.
