Middlefield pizza is under new ownership as of the middle of February 2024 and I have been looking for a great Greek pizza nearby, well I don't have to look any further. We placed an order for takeout, but they now have seating at the restaurant, so next time we will dine in. The dining area is bright and cheerful with plenty of seating. The staff is friendly and the owner George, loves to chat as well. The pizza was fantastic!!!! We had the house special, which had the right amount of sauce, it wasn't too tart and tomatoey nor was it too sweet (there must be a secret recipe here for this) and the crust was cooked to perfection! The pizza was topped with thin slivers of sweet onions and green bell peppers, pepperoni, chunks of sausage, perfectly sliced mushrooms and we made a substitution of bacon instead of hamburger. The pizza was topped with just the right amount of cheese, not too much, not too little. This truly was the perfect Greek pizza. I am certain this will be my new go-to pizza place for Greek pizza.

I’m an extreme pizza critic and I judge pizza based off of the two pizzas I consider 10’s for New Haven Style and Greek style. My New Haven style favorite is Sally’s Apizza and Greek is East Side Pizza in Wallingford. Middlefield pizza under new ownership you’ll get a phenomenally cooked crust that’s light and an overall great pizza.? Greek pizza score is 8.9 ? Greek needs its own category as sometimes you just want a Greek pizza.

I've been searching for a perfect greek pizza for a year and a half ... since I moved here. I finally found it! We got the meat lovers and it was awesome! I'm just upset we only got a small and I only got 2 pieces.... no breakfast leftovers ?my go to from now on!

I have been buying food from these folks since they had a pizza place in Hartford going back 20 years. The pies are great the grinders are great. Many here in town or those traveling through do not know this, I apologize if I'm speaking out of turn, I was there a block away. The reason they moved to Middlefield is because where they were and where I also had a business is one of the worst armed robbery areas in CT. Every business got robbed up there. In their case the robbery turned into a murder of one of their employees right in front of them by Black male thug. So if they may have a little animocity toward certain people they have a very valid reason. No one is forcing you to go there. Most of the negative post's were during the fake panemic which caused undo stress on all resturaunts. They have always been nothing but nice to me.

It's a pizza tragedy.Middlefield pizza has been through several owners over the 50 years I've lived in this town, so I havent always been a fan, but I was craving pizza today and ordered a spinach, roasted pepper and ricotta pizza.I took a bite of the 1st piece without really looking at it and soon realized that I was chewing on something that just wouldn't disintegrate. I looked at my pizza and realized it was a stem from the spinach. I looked closer to discover that the spinach is frozen and these hard stem pieces were all over it. I ended up having to spit out quite a bit. Also, I was tasting vinegar and I realized the roasted red peppers are the cheap kind that come in a can.I'm seriously considering just throwing it all away. I know nobody else in my family will eat this. I am truly and utterly disappointed.
The Greek salad was one of the best I've had. I wish I could have that house dressing on every salad I'll ever eat. I like the crust on the pizza. It could be a little more crispy on the bottom...But it was still good. I like a thick crunchy greek style crust. The sauce was perfect texture and taste. Pepperoni slices were distributed very evenly across the top of the pie. We'll be back!

Gross .id give it to my dog but i love my dog...garbage....rude...order wrong refused refund.lady who answered phone shouldnt have a job .nasty.thats why so many bad reviews. Seems to be a pattern.rather go hungry....ewwwww greasy hot tuna.dunno whats a bigger piece of trash the food or the rude unpleasant employee

Lady answering the phone needs to improve her attitude. Talked over me while I gave her my order. Then when I tryed to tell her what I want on the grinder she said "I'm too busy and don't have time for this". All I was ordering was a cheese pizza and a turkey grinder. Good luck in your pizza sauce induced misery lady!!! DON'T GO HERE.

That good, old school, Greek pizza! Been ordering takeout since covid. Love supporting our small family owned business. Pre-covid we’d dine in on occasion for that nostalgic pizza joint experience. No matter what you order, you can’t go wrong!
