sadly they close for the season (and also change hours depending on the season), but its not really clear anywhere. So went looking for some fried seafood a month ago and sadly disappointed. i guess my only advice, call ahead? (I did, and no answer, so that should have been my answer)

I was craving scallops and the pan seared dish I got takeout here was very good. I was disappointed they were out of broccoli and I had to choose another side, but that happens. I will definitely order from here again.

Excellent! We went for lunch we had the fish sandwich and fish tacos (the tacos came with rice and beans but I asked for french fries to replace the rice, they gave me fresh steamed broccoli and the hot fresh fries, exactly what I wanted!) and lobster bisque delicious! Everything came out hot and fresh. The service was great! One small detail the tables and napkin dispensers needed a good cleaning. We will return again.

We were passig through town and found this humble little restaurant with the most AMAZING clam chowder soup! The Lobster bisque was great too! We also loved the onion rings! They were bite sized and super delicious!!

Excellent local seafood restaurant. Nothing fancy, but food is excellent and prices reasonable. Had the clam strips, about the best I've ever had.

My wife and I (FWIW both retired) took a ride from Hamden for dinner based on reviews. Upon entering there were 5 or so employees hanging out talking in the kitchen, only one table having food, it was about 4:30. Girls at the register seemed pleasant. I ordered whole belly clams and a hamburger. My wife got the whole belly clam plate. We both had clam chowder. The plate came with cole slaw, it was sort of room temperature ( not refrigerated it seemed) anyway, it was terrible taste and inedible. The whole clams..... I'd graciously rate at "C" minus. A hint of fishy taste, small, slightly over fried. I ordered a hamburger, I got a cheeseburger LT, nothing really wrong with it, just tasted like Stop and Shop chopped meat made into a patty. Dining room was old looking cafeteria with wood tables sort of. Table we sat at had a leg at least 3/4 inch shorter than the rest. Absolutely nothing decor wise to write home about. I had diet Pepsi wife had a bottle of water. The bill was over $80 before the tip. Overall experience- AT BEST a "C" minus. We would never consider going back. Honestly, makes ya wonder if the 5 star reviews were friends and family cause it wasnt even close. My two stars was an honest rating IMO and the wife's.

So LRoth and I decided to have a nice beach day the other weekend. After a few hours of soaking up the rays (plenty of sunscreen applied), we were in the mood for something oceanic...particularly lobster rolls. We did a quick search, and this place popped up. We pull up and it definitely has a hole in the wall feel. I read some of the other places about cleanliness, and let's put it this way...it felt like a seaside shack where you get good seafood. Would I lick the ground? Absolutely not. Do I trust that I wouldn't get Vibrio or Salmonella? Yea. So I got the roll with extra lobster. I like mine hot with butter. It was awesome. Bread was great. They didn't skimp on the lobster. Fries were super crispy. Definitely a place I'd hit up again.

In CT this is absolutely one of the best Seafood places. The cost for the amount of food you get is better than most anywhere and the Clams and Shrimp aren't mini frozen bs. You actually get your money's worth and probably a bit more. They're good so they will be busy during peak times so be prepared for a wait occasionly.

Very dirty, sticky floors and filthy freezer were really disturbing. I literally could have scraped the dirt from the floor. The staff was lovely. We ordered based on prior reviews and in a desire not to offend. I was too skeeved out to eat the food when I got home but my husband pressed on. He was in the bathroom within minutes.

Captain's Catch Seafood is quickly becoming our favorite neighborhood 'go to place' spot for a quick meal. Delicious food, fresh ingredients and friendly staff!! My favorite so far is the lobster roll (cold)!! We have also tried the fish and chips, chicken tender, grilled cheese (so cheesy ?), and corn bread ... all highly recommended ?

Excellent seafood for good prices. Generous portions too. Been going here for years and I've never had a bad meal.

I'm a big believer of trying restaurants in tiny strip malls. I love supporting mom and pop shops. They are usually surprisingly good. Captains Catch is one of those gems. Really good solid seafood here. The choice of hot buttered or cold lobster rolls, both equally great... lovely lobster bisque too. I love to add a shot of sherry to it at home but its truly delicious without. For me the stand out is their large Lobster salad. Feeds more than one. Large succulent chunks of simply naked lobster atop a Caesar salad. Healthier option but honestly feels decadent with those big chunks. The food is always fresh. The lobster cooked proper. We're so lucky this place is just down the road from us. They were great during the pandemic serving from a table in their doorway. Friendly service too.

We came to vacation for a weekend and I really wanted seafood, we found this place and it was super Yum! We got the Captains Combo and everything was so good, but especially the shrimp! Pricey and well worth it! People were very friendly as well.

Stopped in quick for takeout of lobster bisque. A friend had picked some up that day and it was the best I ever had! Decided to get some for myself and bring it home to the family that night. Absolutely love❤️ best lobster bisque around! Rich, thick, and full of chunks of lobster!
