We went to Milford, CT for a competition so we planned a team dinner at Citrus on Saturday night. And we only have one and half hours from sitting down to finish. Total 30 people includes half of kids aged between 7-13, (one youngster 3-yr old) and all parents. I had to admit, I don't usually give 5 stars to restaurants unless they really worth it. Citrus is one of the few! The food selection is beyond expectations for our group, everyone was so happy for their order. The service is top of the line. Manager Megan is the BEST! She and I worked on the plan one week prior to. She is very detailed oriented and thoughtful. We arrived on time, all the meals were prepared and served within 15mins! (The kitchen had done excellent job to prepare food and serve on time). It was also my daughter's birthday so we brought our own cake, Megan and team accommodated with cutting and distributed to the guests. We left on time after one and half hours later. Most productive and best experience ever! Thank you Megan!

This place has higher rankings than it really deserves. The menu has no identity (tacos, pizza, dumplings, seafood, mac & cheese, pasta, burgers), and the menu has so many odd flavor pairings in many of the dishes. The drinks were weak and overpriced. The service was minimal (maybe they're understaffed?).I had the skirt steak, so did someone else as my table and both came out cold. We ate it, but it wasn't great. Another person in my party had the pork tenderloin with pecan fried rice; it was so sweet!! It was like having dessert for dinner, so odd. As with many of the dishes, the flavor choices were just so odd. I get trying to have something different, but a lot of the menu was unnecessary. For dessert I ordered the flourless chocolate cake and it was horrible. Flourless chocolate cake is typically very thick, dense and rich. This was not even cake, it was warm chocolate pudding on a plate.Parking is a nightmare. Interior was loud.Overall it's mediocre at best and overpriced.

Was hopeful for this place. Wanted to try something new, lesson learned, don't!I & my 2 daughters ordered the shrimp risotto (was more like oatmeal with hot pepper, and couldn't find any shrimp in my mushy wet rice) she stopped eating her's long before I stopped. Was eating it slowly hoping to soften the hot pepper from affecting me.The appetizers (blackened scallops-only 3 & fried calamari) were mediocre compared to the meal which was just unappetizing and bland with the exception of the red pepper if that's considered seasoning. The desserts 1) creme brulee were just bleh and like eating bland unsweetened whipped cream. 2) daughter ordered chocolate cake with ice cream (the cake was not properly cooked & was more like undercooked cake batter. Our waitress was kind and tried to attend us but was overwhelmed by the crowds filling up the bar as well as running back and forth serving the table behind us shots after shots. The exceptionally loud crowd made it too difficult to have any conversation.Completely and utterly disappointed. We will not go back! Btw our stomachs are messed up from that cheesy risotto. Ugh

Occasional travelers through this area, we have finally found our "every time we're here" restaurant! Tempura shrimp appetizer is to die for. Grace provided wonderful service at a very busy time. Who knew I would like mashed potatoes with wasabi? Highly recommend!

Had a great Saturday night dinner and drinks here. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was a little loud but fun. Really good shrimp ceviche, calamari was okay. My seafood scampi was delicious, big portion. Had a really great time. Private parking lot but hard to find a spot.. it's always packed.

I always go there when in town. The last time I was there was almost 5 years ago. It is still really good. Can't wait to come

Casual atmosphere with upscale food and great cocktails. This restaurant is situated in downtown Milford near the waterfront so parking is rough. There are large booths and some four top tables in the bar area and a quieter restaurant area separated by the kitchens. The staff is friendly and professional.

Reeeeally slooooow (albeit friendly eventually) bar service with terribly inconsistent martinis.

Originally came here with the intention of having a late lunch, however, after viewing the menu, and seeing some very unorthodox items listed, we opted for appetizers and drinks to get us through until dinner. There were regular bar food items, but random Asian dishes sprinkled in, but it was not fusion - they were just there. Additionally, the atmosphere was a little confusing. The lighting and black leather booths were giving restaurants/intimate setting, however, their placement of a large square bar counter area along with TVs that were displaying football games were giving sports bar. Maybe we just came on an off day? Though our server was fantastic, we most likely will not be going back. Honestly, for me it will be because of the atmosphere, but I know that’s a preference.

Dress it up or dress it down. Citrus is the place for any occasion, a quick bite at the bar, and a relaxing afternoon on the patio. They have a versatile menu to tickle every fancy. Martinis to die for, as well as, an extensive beer and wine list. Citrus is in my top go to spot. If it wasn't for Kenny, the owner, and his team I'd be hungry, sober, and lonely many nights. Not only are they an amazing restaurant Citrus gives back to our community ten fold sponsoring many local charity events. Toys for Tots Milford is their biggest fundraiser. I love absolutely everything about Citrus and I know you will too!!!

Love the CAB sliders. I went with a group of friends and had a blast. Staff was friendly, music was great. Parking is always tough in downtown Milford so prepare ahead.

It seems like maybe they were a bit understaffed. The woman who was the hostess was also our waitress. She did great under the circumstances but the service was a little slow. The food was excellent.
