Our family tried Osteria Romana for the 1st time in Monroe on Easter Sunday. A challenging time to be first trying a restaurant. There were little things here and there that kept this from being a 5 star experience. When we arrived the parking lot was filled. There was a valet but we were skeptical because I did not notice the guy had a sign, pin, or jacket stating he was the valet. Luckily it was legit. When I checked in early they were of course not ready for us. I asked would they come out and call us once our table was ready? I was told No and to keep checking back. I kind of felt like since there was no where to wait inside. They should have at least come got us when our table was ready. Our reservation was for 7 people @ 4pm and our table was ready at 4:15pm. It's fine it was Easter and they were busy. At one point our waiter left, and it took a bit before a new waiter came over. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. For appetizers my husband had the octopus salad, I got the mini meatballs. My husband was skeptical about the grilled lettuce but actually enjoyed it. The mini meatballs came in a cute bowl with a nice added touch of a wooden spoon and was really good. Our main courses were seafood risotto for him and prosecco chicken for me. He ate every last bite of his seafood. I tasted his risotto which was cooked nicely. The sauce for my chicken made my chicken cutlets not crispy but it had nice flavor. Desserts: Chocolate Lava cake with ice cream and pistachio cheesecake. Both heavenly and sweet (but not too sweet). Wish we were offered coffee or cappuccino. But I guess its good they didnt because we were all ready to get up and moving. Hope to try their brunch with my husband or smaller group soon.

Classy but unpretentious. Gracious but unobtrusive service in a delightful decor. But best of all... great food, large portions and very reasonable prices! Pasta fagiole was laden with beans and pasta... very filling when accompanied by fresh baked bread and olive oil. My salmon salad was more than enough for 2 meals and my wife's VEGAN friendly beet and citrus salad was delicious Very nice restaurant

Adrian, Karim, and the rest of the team treat us like family from the moment we walk in to the hugs we share as we leave. Our family has fallen in love with Osteria Romana, as they offer a predictably great experience. Menu is consistent and specials are innovative. Service exceeds expectations every single time and the atmosphere is always balanced. Live music is just right (not overbearing and boisterous). Food allergies are taken seriously, ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the specials always offer something new/exciting. Came for dinner on Thursday, looking forward to coming back for brunch on Sunday!

We visited Osteria Romana for the first time this week on a Monday evening. Most of the dishes were excellent except the linguine with White clams sauce that was kind of bland and unfortunately overcooked, but the perfectly seasoned seafood risotto as well as the tender veal scaloppini were excellent! we will definitely be back soon to try their other dishes.

My friends and I went for the happy hour specials after a long week of teaching. Obviously on our pay, we like to take advantage of local happy hour specials. So we sat at the bar and requested happy hour wine and the bartender who turns out to be the waiter, charged us for expensive regular priced wine. When he went to pour my second glass, I asked him if we were still within the happy hour time, and he said yes and smiled. He actually said, " it's always happy hour!" What? When the bill arrived it was much more than expected. He would not make changes to correct the mistake. We will never go there again!
Valet service was much appreciated due to arriving in pouring rain. Seated in the beautiful main dining area. Server was attentive and knowledgeable with plenty of wit. Food and drinks were delicious. As always, a wonderful evening at Osteria Romana.

We went on valentine day! They had specialised menu on valentine with $56 per head charges. They did not mention it online that they will have special menu for valentines…Option were very less and food was below average..!!

Meh. My husband liked his Cesar salad. My chicken Milanese was overcooked and needed salt. My husband got the pesto risotto with shrimp. He said it was bland. He ended up throwing up that night and the only explanation was dinner. Servers were all extremely nice.
Just came back from the most amazing restaurant I've been to in a long time.Atmosphere,service,quality of food,prices,and presentation is Superb.Shout out to Henry,our server,who made the dining experience that much more enjoyable.Best steak,lobster ravioli,and clams casino I've had ever!Can't wait to go back.? Bravo....
Excellent experience and the food is delicious. Went there as a group to celebrate a birthday and we had pasta dishes and fish. All excellent. Highly recommend the cocktail specials and desserts, especially the pistachio cheesecake!

The atmosphere, ambiance, and service were all excellent and the place was buzzing. I don't think we'll be going back. Sad.
