This place is a joke. Can I had out 0 star.Thanks for the worst of the worst of the worst customer service. I am Missing my order & I can’t get a refund ….. the owner did not wantTo refund my credit card. So avoid at all costThe food is ok.

The food and sushi is good, but management needs to figure out how to give an accurate wait time for take out. Over the phone they will tell you 30 minutes. The last two times I ordered from here I waited an additional 30 minutes in my car in the cold. It’s kind of silly. I hope they see these reviews because I’m not the only one that has experienced this. It makes me not want to order from here anymore.

they straight up lie to customers about when your food will be ready when you call to place an order. last night, they said 30 minutes...i showed up after 25 and ended up waiting another 45. they give you an amount of time when you call, and i honestly don't think they start making your food until you wait in line and speak to them at the window.saw Ralph say that if people want good food, they should wait longer. of course people want good food...they don't want to be lied to by the restaurant they're ordering from about how long it will take for their food to be ready. totally missed the point, pal.for all of the complaints in the reviews about how long people had to wait for their food, i don't understand why people tolerate this sort of experience for mediocre sushi.move on, people!

This was the worst experience we have had. Sakana used to be our go to for sushi in the area but now looking for somewhere else. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous. If you are told a time to pick up, you are waiting for your food after arrival for the same amount of time if not longer. We were told 30 min, when we got there it was another 50 min to wait after arrival. Our soup and hot appetizers were cold and we had to reheat. Not an enjoyable dinner and the quality of sushi didn’t seem the same either. I think we are done with this place. Oh, I forgot to add that there was a piece of plastic in on of our soups.

Shirley just made my sons wait over an hour from their pick up time in this freezing cold weather. She does this to them every time they order, which is at least twice a week. How dare you disrespect my sons and waste their precious time home with their family. Show some more respect for your customers.

Have been going there for years. Wait time is insane. Always wait an extra 20 minutes, at least. Tonight I ordered a shrimp teriyaki and the shrimp was so tough you needed a knife to cut it. Won't be going back. Too bad.

First time there today. Had no idea we had such a good sushi place in town. Miso soup is my barometer as to whether a sushi place is even worth investigating. It was awesome. Gyoza, awesome. Simple rolls, perfect. Haru maki, big yes. Inari, literally perfect. Specialty rolls, mind blown. It's take out only for now because pandemic. Looks like a NYC hole in the wall of the strip mall. Looks are deceiving. The food is spectacular. You'd have to travel to a pretty large city to find sushi close to this quality. Bravo Sakana. You will absolutely be a regular sushi joint for me.

Too many poor reviews based on waiting time. If you want bad food quickly, go elsewhere. If you want excellent food that takes a bit of time, come here. The review criteria should separate the product’s taste from its waiting time. Good takes time, and your impatience is taking away from hard working people who serve very good food.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The lady who answers the phone is very RUDE. When coming to pick up your food she just throws the receipt, your card and food on the counter without even saying thank you, then takes the next person without you even finishing signing your signature, where’s the manners? Your running a business. Don’t go here. Go somewhere else. Save yourself from the experience.

Food is good, however you will wait outside when arriving. I waited for 10 minutes before calling and being told “I’ll be right out” to then wait another few minutes for someone to come out. They took my card and disappeared for 5-6 minutes with it. Once getting my food and getting back to work I noticed that 2 things were missing from my order. Upon calling back I was told “if you can’t come back, don’t worry I’ll remember you for next time”. There won’t be a next time, I would just like my money refunded.

The food is fantastic but the wait time is garbage. Any time I order I give it an extra half hour from when they say it will be ready.I don't mind the time it takes, I just place my order earlier. But, it's hard to plan around. Expect to still have a moderately long wait time when you get there.

This restaurant pivoted during the pandemic to take out only. We had sushi from them many times during the 2 years that was really good. Went back last night and had the salmon lovers. It was incredible. Portion size and taste were among best in CT. They have gotten a number of bad reviews because of their turnaround time. Give yourself a little extra time, but don’t miss this gem.

Great food but that's the extent of their abilities. Horrendous service. They willl tell you that the food will be rea dry in 15-55 minutes but the truth is that they don't start making your food until you are at the restaurant begging for it. The prices are fine, but they are still shut down and "takeout only" from covid despite their lack of a relatively close covid case in the past 6 months. If I'm basing this purely on their food quality I would give them 5 stars. However, this is a all encapsulating review that considers their lack of attentiveness, care, and efficiency. Wish they could figure it out.
