When we were booking our stay at the Mohegan Sun, I wanted to make reservations for somewhere special and I picked the MJ steakhouse. The MJ steakhouse did not disappoint. Their team of hostesses and waiters were awesome. I had a few of their "air" -spressos (pic attached) which were delicious. My bf and I shared the Flight 23 and an order of their mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. All of the meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious as well. Their special dessert of the night was creme brulee and it was to die for! Highly recommend this place!

We came in last night to celebrate my fathers birthday. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and staff was warm and inviting, even amidst what seemed to be a very busy night. The food was cooked to perfection, with each bite bursting with flavor. However, what truly made the night memorable was the outstanding service provided by Chris. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. From his attentive demeanor to his excellent recommendations, Chris truly made us feel like VIP guests. His professionalism and genuine care for our satisfaction were evident throughout the evening. Thank you, Chris, for making my father's birthday celebration one to remember. We'll definitely be returning soon, and we highly recommend visiting to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!

Amazing experience at MJ's.I think this may be the most expensive steak house I've ever been to (and I've been to many high-end restaurants).That being said, everything we ate was phenomenal. I'd come back whenever I wanna open the wallet for a very quality meal. I highly recommend special occasions.

I frequent steakhouses in lower Fairfield County and NYC and must highlight the level of service we received yesterday. Our server, Chris, was so engaging and attentive without being overbearing. My boyfriend and I were celebrating his birthday and could not be happier about our choice of venue for dinner. Good food is easy to fine, but noteworthy service is a little harder to come by nowadays. Thank you Chris, and others, for such a wonderful experience. It is greatly appreciated.

I wish I could give more stars. My waitress was lovely and well educated but the food was lacking especially for the price. I had the Octopus special small serving for an appetizer. Perfectly cooked.....on one side. Slimy on the other. Ordered a nice bottle of Willamette valley pinot which was amazing. Then I ordered the American Wagyu filet mignon. Let's start with the fact it was an end cut. For $110 I was offended but still said nothing. Then I put my knife to the meat. Such a shame. I had and american wagyu less than 2 weeks ago and what they served me was not it. Stop calling it wagyu when I'm not even convinced it was prime.. they deserve the 2 stars for the staff. Sorry not sorry but I don't order cheap food but next time I will. At the summer shack down the hall.

Fantastic food and service!!!Kate was very attentive and helped make the night special. Steak and lobster were cooked perfect, they even cut up the lobster for us, fantastic service! Only complaint is the average vegetables sides… but with so many other options we just grabbed something else.
Lucky enough to secure a high top in the bar without reservations last night before a big show. The service is exceptional. Thank you so much Brian, Hillary, and the rest of the team. You all work truly as a well-oiled machine and we can’t say enough good things about the service we received. The food? Great! We got local oysters, tuna tartar, garlic bread with blue cheese fondue, porterhouse for two, creamed spinach, and mushrooms. Was it a little bit too much food? Yes. But it was all absolutely top-notch. And yes, it was very pricey, but we would definitely return for the service and quality.

I really nice meal. Not one of those places that skates by on it's celebrity name, but the food was great, the steaks were nicely cooked, and the service was friendly and professional.
We made a reservation for 4 walked in they Sat is right away, we had our main waitress and another waiter that would stop by refill the waters and take plates, very tentative. The four of use had a had a hard time deciding on what to get everything sound good in the end we went with the MVP steak flight and feed all four of use with out a problem, would high recommend the mash potato flight and Brussels sprouts, the cream spinach was also very good. Well worth the money, the only down side is could possibly say is it is a little dark in there. Could go on and on with the overall experience, every one that waited on us were very knowledgeable, all four of us agreed it was a great place and would go back again.

I think it's a bit overrated and over priced for the flavor you get. Quality of ingredients was lovely but the flavors were just not hitting it. Appetizer was awesome though, we had the garlic bread. Definitely recommend. Dinner and dessert were lack luster.

Went for dinner during an overnight at the casino.Started with garlic bread…WOWentrées were a filet, and the roasted chicken. Both cooked perfectly! Mashed trio was very good, apple maple sprouts were incredible.Finished up with a crème brûlée for dessert.Service was impeccable, ambience was a little dark, which is perfect for me. The music was a jazzy feel, which is perfect for the environment.Highly recommend
